Featured Oban 3 Star hotels

The Great Western Hotel
"The room had just been redecorated and was really modern looking over the sea. The hotel itself is in need of a refurbishment but I think that's what they were in the process of doing. We had a fantastic stay."

The Scot
"Very well located with on site parking. Despite the fact there are many guests, the dining and bar are not well visited. Probably too many other options."

The Ranald Hotel
"Not recommending a stay here. Rooms are subpar and overpriced. Here are all the things where the Ranald falls short: - No elevator. We had to lug our bags up four flights of stairs. This was never disclosed during booking - No air conditioning. Room was very warm and would not cool down even with ..."

The Lochnell Arms Hotel
"Right on the water, views very nice, dining was ok, had to ask for extra sheets and towels as they forgot to provide enough for our group"

The Whisky Vaults
"It's a boutique hotel in an old building so access up the central stairway could prove an issue if you have a mobility issue. It has a popular bar for locals and traditional Scottish musicians play plus they do whisky tastings. I enjoyed staying there. Parking is straight forward in the council car ..."

Dalrigh House
"Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, great location- up the hill from the town center. There’s a common refrigerator and sink area which was great but no dishes or cutlery-that would be a nice addition, as would a coffee maker of some sort. There is also not a sitting area outside which would ..."

Glencruitten House
"If you’re looking for a luxury break in a typically Scottish baronial establishment, this is the place for you. Great staff, great location, fabulous facilities, good drinks list and plenty to keep you occupied. Ten out of ten!’ (Plus there’s peacocks!)"

Perle Oban Hotel & Spa
"This is a beautiful property with nice rooms that are very clean. We were in a standard twin and though it was not enormous we had plenty of room for the two of us and our suitcases. If you have a lot of luggage you may consider asking for a larger room. If you are taking the ferry out to the islands, you cannot beat this hotel for the location. It is located directly next to the ferry terminal and in the heart of shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is excellent. We had dinner there the first night and it was absolutely delicious. I did not realize that we did not have breakfast included in our rate so that was a little annoying but we used local coffee shops and also the hotel restaurant and it all worked out. The only thing is if you don't plan on using the spa you might consider using another hotel and saving some dollars. We got into too late the first night to take advantage of the 30 min complimentary time in the spa and got back too late from our excursion the following day too. So that amenity went to waste. Really not a big deal, I just wish I had known that the spa closed at 5:00 ahead of time so maybe we would have arrived earlier. Again, not really a big deal, just a little more than I might have spent if I had known. The location and restaurant made up for it. The hotel bar is open late and is a nice amenity after a long day of adventure. Oban is a charming seaside town with so much history and a beautiful waterfront and really can't be missed."
