The Classic Desert Aire Hotel
"After a disastrous stay at a neighboring property the night before, I booked one of few open rooms here (our second stay, as we'd had a full suite over Christmas). We got a "junior suite" with a king bed. It was second floor, with no elevator, so we had to haul our bags up, but that was the only negative (aside from the desk chair being all sticky with spilled teriyaki chicken from a prior tenant, we found). A junior suite is two linked former adjoining rooms with the doors removed. One room (huge rooms, by the way) had a king bed, fridge and microwave, while the other had an armchair and ottoman, and a queen-sized hideabed couch! Both rooms had TVs and bathrooms. Two bathrooms in one hotel suite--what luxury! We will definitely make the Classic Desert Aire our home any time we come to Alamogordo, no question."
