I am not picky by far but this place was dirty. Bed linens were dirty. Floor was sticky. Spider crawling in the bed in the morning. Halls smelled of cig. smoke. Sketchy people in and outside of the lobby. Felt like a drug house!

We don't show anything in our log book during your stay. We usually take care of any complaints right away. We did inspect the room in questioned and didn't find any issues that you're referring to. Our staff works hard and they never want anyone to have a bad stay. We know were an older hotel and not always perfect so customer service is always a priority. Yes we are 100% non-smoking and have smoking area's outside. We do have transient guests/families staying from Florida while they are looking for an apartment and we don't profile our guest. We are a reputable hotel and not a drug or crack house which is unfair to say. Rest assured we are always on alert and take appropriate measures to address any problems and prevent any future occurrences that we are aware of.We appreciate the time you took to share your concerns, and it is our hope that you will remove your two reviews and give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future.Sincerely,Francis CoccaOwnerTravelodge Albany

I am by far not a picky person and you get what you pay for but this room was dirty! The floor was so sticky and the bed cover was disgusting! I found spiders in the bed the next morning. Had I seen them when we first arrived I would have left. This was supposed to be a NO SMOKING property and the halls smelled of fresh cig. smoke. There were sketchy people inside and outside the lobby. I felt like I was coming into a crack house!

Stayed for 3 days. There was no service to get towels. Moved from 1 dirty room to another filthy room. Hallways smelled. Morning and night characters near the front entrance smoking pot. I'll never stay in a Travel Lodge again.

Not happy with stay this time

Cons: House keeping and room security
Location: ok
2 days in a row the beds weren't made, dirty towels weren't picked up, and the paper cans weren't emptied. The 2nd day when we came back to the room ( we left 9:00 in the morning and came back at 9:30 that night ) it wasn't cleaned or anything else wasn't done. What got me scared was we left the light on the stand beside the bed and the main light on and the temp set at 72 but when we came back the lights were off and the temp was turned down to 68 BUT nothing was done in the room. We checked our belongings and nothing was missing but it made my wife and myself feel very unsafe for the next two days. Will probably never stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review pertaining to your April 6th through April 8th stay iun Room 113 at our Travelodge Inn & Suites, Albany Airport. I apologize that your room was not cleaned for two days. Did you report this to our Front Desk Staff? I am particularly concerned as we keep a “Front Desk Log”, which reports any comments (Positive or Negative) made by our guests and there was not any record of your room not being cleaned. We are making major changes in our Housekeeping Staff and procedures, which should eliminate issues such as you experienced. I must confess that I cannot explain why Housekeeping turned off your lights and turned the temperature down. The only reason I can come up with is that they planned on coming back to clean the room and were distracted. This is not an excuse . . just a “possible” explanation. However, I can assure you that our hotel has never had an issue regarding personal belongings being missing. In fact, we have had several incidents where a guest has forgotten a valuable item and the guest was contacted at once. We also have a security system with cameras monitoring the interior and exterior of our hotel. It is our hope that you will grant us an opportunity to show you that we can and . . WILL DO BETTER.

All-around pleasing stay

Location: Great location near shopping malls.
Even though our stay was only one night we would definitely stay here again. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, efficient. Continental breakfast was plentiful. It was a great stay.
