New York Hotel Travel Guide
Bright lights and big cities meet cascading waterfalls and lush forests: New York offers visitors the best of both worlds. Why not spend a few nights staying in one of the many New York hotels in the heart of Manhattan, then rent a car and take a road trip upstate? There are plenty of nice, cheap New York hotels throughout the state to make it easy to plan your itinerary.
Visiting New York
No visit to New York is complete without a visit to the Big Apple. Rockefeller Center, Broadway, Times Square, Central Park, world-class museums, shops ... prioritize what you want to see before you arrive. When you check into your New York hotel, ask your concierge where to find package deals that bundle admission fees for attractions. Cross the Brooklyn Bridge and stroll in Prospect Park, and hop on the Staten Island Ferry for priceless views of Lady Liberty.
There's much more to see in the Empire State than New York City. New York is composed of several regions. North of Long Island are the Lower Hudson Valley and Catskills regions. Check out the Walkway over the Hudson and the Museum at Bethel Woods (the site of Woodstock). The Capital region is home to Albany, and the upper tip of the state features the Adirondacks, home to Mirror Lake, Lake Placid, Mount Jo, and the Olympic Ski Jump Complex. In Central New York, visit Syracuse and Cornell University. The Finger Lakes region is named for its 11 narrow finger-shaped lakes, and Western New York is home to Buffalo, Rochester, and the not-to-be-missed Niagara Falls.

NEW YORKER BY LOTTE HOTELS
"Location is perfect for events at or near Madison Square Gardens. The staff varied drastically in friendliness and helpfullness. The hotel while still has it's vintage character needs repairs. The plumbing was a challenge. Getting the shower to not be one extreme or the other for temperature was extremely difficult and when you thought you got it right it would blast random extremely hot water for a couple seconds. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of room for two people with two full-size beds, dressers, desk, TV, etc. The biggest complaint I have about the room is there is no refrigerator or in room coffee. The "free breakfast" consists of the smallest cup of juice, hot coffee or hot tea, and a bagel, croissant, toast, muffin or pastry. The bagel was good. The croissant was OK. The muffin was not good. The blueberry Danish pastry was delicious! I wish someone had told me we could get our breakfast from the coffee spot in the lobby to take to our room before our last day. They tell you to redeem the coupons in the Tick Tock diner to try to entice you into ordering more from the menu for additional cost. Dinner in the diner was hit or miss. Steak was definitely not worth the price. It was average at best with salty broccoli and mashed potatoes that just were not good. The chicken parm boat was HUGE and it was quite tasty. All in all I'd go back just for the location alone if attending MSG event again. Go to Avenida across the street for the best tacos & burrito"
