Great location for the price, but it’s very noisy. Bathroom doesn’t look very clean, especially the tub/shower. There were small gnats coming out from the sink drain.

I didn’t catch the name of the person who checked us in (he’s been there 18 years), but he was a terrific introduction to the hotel — friendly, open, and offering all the best of New York. The room was clean, and it is sooooo close to so many theaters, the Morgan Library, Bryant Park and the New York Public Library. Will stay here again.

This hotel is a hidden Gem. It’s very walkable to midtown for business and super close to broadway for tourists. The food options are endless. The mattresses are a little squeaky but they are super comfy and I sleep like a baby. I’ve stayed other nearby hotels where the beds were harder than concrete. I will pick this place every time when it’s available when I travel for work!!

Hotel St. James was a great find, clean, comfortable, and in an unbeatable location just steps from Times Square. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room had a nice vintage charm. It’s a simple, but perfect if you want a safe, affordable place in the heart of NYC. I’d definitely stay again!

Wonderful little hotel (gives off UK vibes) with friendly and accommodating desk staff. Close enough to Times Square & Broadway but not in the hustle & bustle - located on relatively quiet street. Very clean and no problems with any of the facilities while there. Bonus: really close to two Irish pub / restaurants.

The room and the hotel was clean. The staff was wonderful really nice people. The location is so centric that is really convenient. The wifi didn’t work for me. The main thing is this is an old hotel, so be ready for that. The bed was so so so noisy. The bed springs made too much noise when you moved. I don't think I would stay here again.
