Approximately a 1 hour/1 hour & a half drive away from SJ's International Airport. Just 34 miles away from Aguadilla's International Airport & a 10-15 minute drive from amazing beaches.



The Space:

LIVING AREAS



As you step into this wonderful home, you're greeted by a fully air-conditioned open-plan living area adorned with tasteful decor and plush furnishings. The living room features a 55-inch smart TV & with live TV that offers all the channels you can think of and a wide selection of movies, series and even included Pay-Per-View events.



KITCHEN



The kitchen seamlessly blends with the dinning area that comfortably sits the entire group and is well equipped with stainless steel appliances and enough countertop for culinary enthusiasts, perfect for preparing delicious meals to be enjoyed at the elegant dining area. The kitchen features a large refrigerator, a 4-burner kitchen top stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, a set of pots & pans, dinnerware, silverware, glasses, cups, wine glasses and much more.



SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



WhitePeacock's bedrooms are havens of tranquility, each thoughtfully decorated with cozy bedding, AC, room darkening shades and closet space.



The master suite is a sanctuary in itself, complete with a king-size bed, a large smart TV with the same offerings as the living room TV, a comfortable sofa and a work desk.



The three additional bedrooms sleep 2 guests each on a dreamy queen-size bed and provide flexibility for families or groups, ensuring everyone has their own private space.



OUTDOOR SPACE



Outside, the highlight of this vacation home awaits - a private pool and comfortable outdoor furniture for the enjoyment of the group. Imagine spending leisurely afternoons soaking up the sun or cooling off with a refreshing swim. For those who prefer shade, a covered terrace with seating offers a perfect spot for family/friend quality time or evening cocktails under the stars. The outdoor space also features the home's second full bathroom and an extra outdoor shower to wash away the salt before dipping into pool time.



RESTROOMS



WhitePeacock features 2 full bathrooms and an outdoor shower. The first bathroom is located indoors, between the 3 smallest bedrooms and features a shower with hot water, sink, toilet and enough toiletries for the beginning of your stay. The second bathroom is located on the outdoor area, next to the terrace. It is accessible through the outdoor spaces or through the master bedroom and it also features the same space and also features the same amenities as the first restroom.



LOCATION



Located just a short drive from pristine beaches, this home offers easy access to sun, sand, and sea. Whether you're building sandcastles with the kids, exploring coastal trails, or simply unwinding by the shore, the beach is always within reach.

POWER GENERATOR & CISTERN



No electricity or water service in the area? No problem! WhitePeacock features a back up generator that powers up the entire house and a 500 gallon cistern in case of any power or water outages.



Guest Access:

Guests have unrestricted access to all spaces inside of the home and the amenities offered. We only keep a housekeeping storage closed at all times. It is prohibited to access these closets.



The Neighborhood:

The property is located in an urbanization close to the main avenue and just 3 minutes away from the highway. During high traffic time you might expect noise from the avenue.



THE TOWN



Arecibo is a city and municipality on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, located north of Utuado and Ciales; east of Hatillo; and west of Barceloneta and Florida. It is about 50 miles west of San Juan, the capital city.



This municipality is just over an hour from the SJU airport and is worth the trip. Arecibo's landscape and panoramic views are characterized by caves, sinkholes, and limestone hills called mogotes. Arecibo, the largest municipality, is divided into 19 sectors that cross the unique karst region in the north.



The incredible diversity of Arecibo's terrain means that visitors can enjoy nearby beaches, caves, mountains, and more. The RĂ­o Grande de Arecibo and the RĂ­o TanamĂĄ, two of the most important rivers in Puerto Rico, cross the municipality. Additionally, one of the island's main lakes, Lago Dos Bocas, borders the south side of the town. Some of the most popular beaches in the area include Hallows and La Poza del Obispo.



The Cambalache Forest Park is home to more than 20 species of birds and more than a dozen caves. There is also the RĂ­o Abajo State Forest, a natural space that is home to one of the most famous caves in Arecibo, Los Chorros and Cueva del Indio.



The town's rich Spanish heritage can be seen in the impressive monuments displayed throughout the municipality. The current town hall served as a prison in the 17th century, when it was mostly occupied by revolutionaries.



The Punta Los Morrillos lighthouse was built by the Spanish government and is now a historical park. Casa Ulanga was originally the residence of a high-ranking Spaniard, but has since served as a bank, store, town hall, hospital and jail, and now functions as the Arecibo Cultural Center.



In Arecibo, you will also find the Auto Cine Santana, Puerto Rico's only drive-in movie theater, established in 1957.



FOOD SCENE



Arecibo's food scene promises an enchanting culinary experience, with a focus on fresh seafood, refreshing drinks and the added bonus of stunning views that make your meal a true feast for the senses. The most famous restaurant in Arecibo is called Salitre MesĂłn Costero, a full-service restaurant overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It's known for serving fresh, locally caught seafood in dishes like paellas, lobster, stuffed mofongo, and more.



This coastal town is also known for its ceti fish dishes. Restaurants like El Guayabo and Guisito Criollo serve empanadas and mofongo filled with this tiny transparent fish.



If you prefer a delicious variety of meats, be sure to visit Bocata Smokehouse, where you can enjoy a varied selection of smoked meats while overlooking the beach. And don't miss the opportunity to end your day at W Bar and enjoy one of their delicious cocktails or explore their extensive whiskey menu with more than 85 labels.

Getting Around:

We strongly recommend renting a vehicle to move around Arecibo. Uber is not reliable in the area.

WASHER & DRYER



In unit washing and drying machines are available for all guests.



WATER HEATER



The water heater works well on both showers and kitchen. The second bathroom's sink does not have hot water.



POOL MAINTENANCE



In order to guarantee the best hygiene, our pool technician comes by in the morning two times a week, Mondays and Thursdays. Your host will get in contact with you in case your stay coincides with maintenance day to ensure you're aware that the technician will be cleaning the pool.



NO PASSPORT REQUIRED FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS



Since Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States, American citizens and permanent residents don't need a passport to travel to the Island. However, they must always travel with a valid ID, such as a driver's license or a state ID card.

Great stay!

Beautifully prepared home in residential area. Very well appointed with attention to detail. Lovely outdoor space and pool was a highlight. Bakery and eateries within 5-10 minutes. This is a calm and happy place to land after travel and sightseeing. Hope to return on our next trip to the area.
