Great rate, sub-par service
When we arrived to check-in, they could not find our reservation until someone looked in a folder of print outs. We reserved non-smoking and they put us in a smoking room. The room had such an odor that we had to call the front desk to be moved. They could not move us as the hotel was full so they provided an air replenisher which did the job alright. The smell seemed to disappear or was at least masked by the vicks vapor rub smell. The bed was comfortable and clean (with the exception of it being a smoking room) Upon check-out we discovered that the desk clerk changed the rate after we signed the sign in slip which is completely unacceptable. After disputing the new rate, a different desk person was happy to fix the obvious error.
My overall impression, I will not make this my first choice for hotels in Orillia next time. I'll see what else is available before going here again.
