The room was not as advertised on your site and I could not stay there. It was an interior room with no outside light. I have stayed at this hotel many times and always choose an exterior facing room. And the hotel said they were booked and couldn’t change my room. So I checked out. All parties refused to refund my money for nights I didn’t stay - despite the hotel being so booked they couldn’t change my room and could have easily filled it.

Pros: decent breakfast, pleasant lobby area, great location, comfortable beds. cons: the interior of the hotel was very dark, almost creepy. You could tell the rooms had been updated but were showing wear and tear- chipping paint, mold in shower, stale odor. We did not have a bad stay, but I would probably not stay here again.

Nice location, the staff was friendly. The shower did have mold in it & had to purchase own breach to clean the mold off the shower wall. Had to repeatedly ask for more toilet paper & towels every day to be replaced.

Very close to Boston University. Was able to catch the train and do a little shopping. Several restaurants in walking distance. This is my second time staying here and I look forward to staying here again.

I chose the Arcadian Hotel for its location near public transportation stops for both BU and Fenway. The T is very user friendly, it was also possible to find restaurants and convenient stores walkable. The desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. While there were no hot food choices for the breakfast, what was offered was very good. My only issues with the hotel was the physical layout of the the building. It is very spread out, with long hallways. It was almost like finding your way in a maze. The directional placards are very small and don’t show up well. Unfortunately my husband has mobility issues and it was difficult to manage the walk to our room. We were only there 2 days , so we managed. If staying longer we definitely would have asked to change rooms.

Good stay

A three day visit to Boston. The hotel is located across the street from the metro. Plenty of restaurants 1/2 to one mile away. Walkable. Accommodations were simple but clean safe and comfortable. No coffee maker in the room, no dresser or chest of drawers. Breakfast was better than sufficient. The staff was exceptional and very helpful. I recommend this property.

The a/c in the room was extremely noisy when it came on and shut off. We were woken up in the middle of the night to other guests being loud and slamming doors but couldn’t call the front desk as there was no phone in the room. I also requested an outside room but was giving an inside room which meant if the curtains were open everyone in the lobby could see into the room. Definitely wouldn’t return.

The stay was great - rooms great- with exception of parking issues- not clear instructions and we scanned our room key to gain access- but gate did not lift after a couple of tries. We then used receipt. Got in. But later discovered we were charged $45 more by the owner of the garage! The hotel reimbursed the original $30 we paid @ desk on check-in for parking. That was helpful- though we were out the extra $15- but the parking process was not typical. BTW- we were expecting a usual multi layered parking garage. This had an odd access not clearly marked as hotel parking at opposite end of building with a single garage door with scanner that gave access to parking garage. Strange.
