Mountain Thunder Lodge Suite 5208 is a fifth-floor two-bedroom residence whose private deck faces outward — over Park Avenue toward the mountain and the town, not the interior pool. That outward orientation matters: mornings, the great room fills with mountain light; evenings, Park Avenue quiets and Main Street's lights are visible from the deck. The building itself is one of very few in Breckenridge physically connected to the BreckConnect Gondola through a private underground tunnel — guests exit the elevator in ski boots and walk climate-controlled straight to the gondola cabin.

THE SPACE
This 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite sleeps up to 6 across a king, a queen, and a living-room sofa bed. The open-concept great room centers on a gas fireplace with a mounted television above, alpine finishes, and modern furniture that gives the room room to breathe. The private deck overlooks Park Avenue with the peaks in the middle distance. The fully equipped kitchen has granite counters, high-end stainless-steel appliances, a full-size range, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, blender, and cookware and dinnerware for six. Breakfast-bar seating and a dining table for six. Bedroom 1 has a king bed and a full bath directly adjacent. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a second full bath. In-unit washer and dryer. Central heat. Cable television and Wi-Fi throughout.

WINTER SKI ACCESS
Mountain Thunder Lodge's private underground tunnel to the BreckConnect Gondola is the differentiator. You leave your unit in ski boots, take the elevator down, and walk climate-controlled to the gondola cabin. From the gondola's top station, Peak 8 base spreads out with the SuperConnect, Colorado SuperChair, Rocky Mountain SuperChair, and 5-Chair feeding the mid-mountain terrain. Breckenridge is a 2,908-skiable-acre resort spanning Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, with the Imperial Express reaching 12,840 feet — the highest chairlift in North America. On wind-hold days, the BreckFree town shuttle from a stop near Mountain Thunder runs to Peak 9 base.

THE LOCATION
Mountain Thunder Lodge sits at the north end of Park Avenue, roughly a five-minute walk from Main Street. Dinner is within walking distance: Hearthstone, Briar Rose, Twist, Kenosha Steakhouse, Empire Burger, Cabin Juice, Modis, Aurum. Coffee at Cuppa Joe, Clint's, or Cabin Coffee. City Market groceries a short drive up Park Avenue. The Riverwalk Center hosts winter performances. Winter events land walkable from the building: Ullr Fest in mid-January (parade, bonfire), the International Snow Sculpture Championships in late January (a 16-block corridor of 20-ton hand-carved sculptures), and the Christmas Market at Blue River Plaza on December weekends. Non-alpine days: Stephen C. West Ice Arena, Country Boy Mine winter tours, the Breckenridge Nordic Center for cross-country and snowshoe trails, and dog-sledding through Alpine Adventures.

Winter concierge menu: ski and snowboard rental delivery through Christy Sports or Charter Sports (rentals waiting at the unit when you arrive), private grocery pre-arrival, in-unit chef service, dinner reservations at tables that book out weeks ahead, snowmobile tours, sleigh rides, dog-sledding, and lift-ticket pre-purchase. Ask through the Gilson guest portal or the VRBO messenger before arrival so we can hold the slots.

GUEST ACCESS
Entry is by keypad with your unique code delivered through the Gilson guest portal before arrival. No lockbox, no front-desk queue. Drive directly into the underground heated garage, park in your assigned space, take the elevator to floor 5, and enter Suite 5208 with your code. The portal handles a brief pre-arrival ID verification and delivers your unit number, parking space number, Wi-Fi password, and tunnel directions in one place. Late arrivals use the same code.

MANAGEMENT
Gilson Property Group manages this residence professionally on behalf of the owner. We give guests their space. If you need us — property questions, local recommendations, concierge requests — we are reachable through the VRBO messenger and respond fast.

BEFORE YOU BOOK — WINTER NOTES
Primary renter must be 25 or older. Damage protection replaces the traditional security deposit, so there is no hold placed on your card. It is offered at checkout and may be declined; guests who decline accept responsibility for any damage claims.

No pets. No smoking anywhere on Mountain Thunder Lodge property.
Breckenridge sits at ~9,600 feet — hydrate, ease into activity the first 24 hours. 4WD/AWD strongly recommended December through April; snow tires acceptable. One underground heated parking space included.
