There was a power shut down while stay at this hotel. The hall way had no emergency lights so we had to use cell phone light to get in and out of our room. For a huge hotel as this there should be better back up generators to supply the building for future mishaps as this one that we experienced. Everything else was wonderful.

The resort was under major construction when we arrived and there was no notice or ad advisory that this resort was under construction during my booking. Upon arrival, the pools were closed due to construction. The sound of construction pierced my ears from the time I woke up until mid evening with them working I couldn’t even enjoy my balcony with the ocean. Sounds because all you heard was drilling the food options were limited, and the best food came from room service, which had a fee and was not included in the all-inclusive package. The staff was not accommodating even with the construction going on. They wanted to charge me an extra $300 for a room upgrade after they messed up my reservation and gave me double beds instead of a king bed. The spa services are horrible. The drinks were not good and the lobby had such a strong perfume smell that gave me a headache every single time I walk through the lobby. This was probably the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at in Cancun.
