Overall start rating 5 besides entertainment and amenities (talking about basketball court,fusball and pool table) since you had to provide your ID to get the balls and parts for the games that were missing. I personally think that all the equipment should be readily available for people to use at all times, why don't you buy more basketballs and have them stored in a large bins at the court so people can enjoy the game! Unfortunately when the weather isn't great there isn't much to do and extra stuff are only available for members only. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for accommodating our sons Celiac disease and his special dietary needs. Ricoroberto was excellent and he made sure that every piece of food was prepared safely for him and every day he was asked what he would like to eat so it wasn't repetitive. One night the kitchen chef came out and brought a GF dessert for him, we were very happy. I can confidently say that this place is Celiac safe ands friendly and that's hard to find even in US.

Room was nice. Promise of Champagne and chocolate strawberries never made it to the room. Made dinner reservations for one of the in house restaurants and it was closed at our reservation time. Had to wait in line for breakfast daily. Seemed to not have enough space for all the guests meals in an all inclusive resort. Tried to speak to general manager twice and was avoided both times even though the person was there according to staff. This is our second stay at a Solaris resort and we won’t be going back after this experience. Would like to talk to someone about a partial refund because of our terrible experience and not receiving all that was promised or paid for.

Ok so the food was terrible. Only food that was somewhat decent was the food at the snack bar by the pool. Drinks were not good either. Only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff around the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The last time we stayed here was probably 15 years ago and we will not be returning.

So this is my honest review of the place. To start, the hotel tries hard which is a good thing. The staff members are great and the facilities are pretty much clean for the duration that I was there. The porters are lovely, the dinner staff and cleaning crews are great. However, where the hotel looses ratings is the food selections. Marco Polo and the Italian restaurant are great, but the buffet menu needs a whole revamp. I am not too much of a picky eater, but I hardly found the choices satisfying. Please please please revamp the food menus especially at the pool. Breakfast was ok as they had alot of fresh fruits and regular hotel breakfast options. Back to the good stuff. The pools were well kept, the hot tub was nice, the beach had staff watching out including the lifeguard and security. I honestly would return. Shout out to Bellarina and Darvin who ensure my son was always taken care of.

I booked a stay at GR Solaris to celebrate my wife’s birthday, expecting a memorable and elevated experience. Unfortunately, our visit was marked by repeated miscommunication, unmet promises, and inconsistent service that ultimately made the trip disappointing. Upon arrival, we were given black wristbands and explicitly told by club sales representatives that these granted us VIP access equivalent to Solaris Members. Throughout our stay, this was repeatedly contradicted by staff, leaving us confused about what privileges we actually had. I booked a two-bed room that was supposed to include a bottle of champagne to celebrate my wife’s arrival. Instead, we were placed in a one-king room (Room 8258) with no champagne or wine provided. We were also told our first night’s dinner reservation had already been booked for us at Marco Polo at 9:20 PM, only to arrive and discover that Marco Polo was not even open that night. The following morning, we were denied mimosas at breakfast and told those were reserved for members only, again contradicting what we had been promised. After raising concerns, we were finally moved to the room we originally booked through Expedia, which included an alcohol dispenser—but it was completely empty and never stocked. Additional issues included cold buffet food at lunch and the main pool being closed for the remainder of the day after a 45-minute wait due to “deep cleaning.”This trip was meant to celebrate my wife and instead became a frustrating event

Room was great and housekeeping staff is the best. We arrived past midnight, the staff did not properly orient us about the place. We basically have to find our way in and out and figure how we can enjoy ourselves. That booking for specialized restaurant is a lil offish.... the staff at Zai restaurant was nothing not ride and accommodating, the foods in that restaurant was nothing special. The experience at Zai was just disapporinting On the regular buffet.... Jose went far and beyond to make clients enjoy meals and drinks Overall, the place is a lil small for how they promote it. And the pool that closes at 7pm, made u feel like u came to a convent not for holidays.

Do not recommend this hotel. Food is terrible, out of 7 days we had maybe 2 dicent meals, the rest was garbage . All 3 of the family members got sick, even though we were very picky what we eat. Food is reheated 2-3 times, bread is stale , chicken reused in salads next day, potato reheated and looking at the pizza paper that we found , was brought from outside buffet near the pool where it was sitting all day in the heat. They dont know how to use a thermometer - they place it on the bottom of the heated dish. Drinks are all diluted - juices, even soda with what feels like a tap water. Ask for cans and bottles and make sure bottles are sealed . Do not drink anything with ice! Ice looks like is going from the same source- tap water or i dont have explanation of our sickness, last 4 days we ate bread, omlets and fruits .Hotel by itself is nice, but I will never rely on travelocity ratings , the rating is barely 6 , not 8 . Restaurants are a joke , one page of menue including everything , food looks like a reheated TV dinner, IF reheated , but you have to reserve it 24 hours in advance and if you are late they charge $20. Never again.

Staff were great, pool staff were super attentive. Other than pool snacks (pizza/burgers), the food was super mid. Buffet food was always cold. Restaurants were better but they’re in dire need of a new dessert chef- didn’t take more than a bite of any of them. And I don’t consider myself a picky eater at all! Also not enough umbrellas in general, but they didn’t even have enough for the stands they had drilled into the ground (so not movable). Made it hard with the baby. Overall, pretty standard, but I chose this one to allegedly have slightly better food than others and this was not the case.
