Resort was beautiful and well kept. The staff are phenomenal, but good luck getting concierge service to your room. We never got amy service after calling them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the various amenities offered to ENCLAVE guests. Oddly, we had to ask for our ENCLAVE amenities. They were not explained to us at check in & we were not given the correct bands, initially. The food choices were not very good. The restaurants that required reservations were the best options for tasty food. I highly recommend making reservations as early as the day of check-in. If not, there will likely be limited reservations, if any, available and you’ll have to settle for sub-par meals across the resort. We will definitely revisit the Hilton Mar Caribe, but know not to expect great food without a reservation!

We generally had a nice time, but there were some cons. The property itself was clean and we experienced great service - except for by the beach as not once were we helped while lounging. For an all-inclusive resort, we really enjoyed the food and drinks. As for the cons: 1. We had a bottle of lotion (I know, not too big of a deal) AND a shirt taken from our room. We didn't bother reporting it since neither item was of great value, but still not something you'd expect when trusting housekeeping in your room. 2. The a/c in the room could have been a bit better. It kept us cool during the day, but we found ourselves warm at night and weren't able to turn it cooler. 3. While the hotel is open-air and they can't control the humidity, the hallways to/from the room are dangerously slippery. There are a few grips on the slopes, but they should be placed throughout as my bf and I found ourselves praying that we wouldn't slip every time we walked around. 4. The biggest downside, in our opinion as a young couple, was the lack of nightlife. The hotel offers great shows, but everything shuts down by 11 pm (if not earlier). We wouldn't have minded so much during the week, but to not offer late-night options whether it be a club, music, or just drinks, after 11 pm on a Friday or Saturday is a bit ridiculous. I suppose if you're an older couple or a family with young kids it doesn't matter, but it did to us A LOT. Had we known when booking, we likely would have stayed elsewhere.

Great beach, pool and excellent evening activities. Very friendly all around. Easy to get dinner reservations and chairs at the beach and pool. Me and my wife are 51 and came with our 20 & 18 year old daughters. It was perfect for us.
