Excellent rapport qualité prix pour la ville de Chicago!

TrĂšs bien situĂ© malgrĂ© que le quartier soit excentrĂ© 45 minutes de transport en commun pour atteindre le centre ville. Cependant la station de mĂ©tro de la ligne bleu est a 5 minutes de marche. Il s'agit d'un beau quartier trĂšs sĂ©cure et avec tous les services Ă  proximitĂ©. Les communications avec les propriĂ©taires sont cordiales et efficaces. Le seul bĂ©mol sont les marches qui permettent d'accĂ©der au matelas de la deuxiĂšme chambre qui sont exiguĂ«s et qui pourraient ne pas convenir Ă  certaines personnes. En conclusion si nous retournons Ă  Chicago nous reviendrons trĂšs certainement au mĂȘme endroit.

Clean a convenient to downtown Chicago! Utilized the cts while we were here which was also convenient. It would be nice it there was a full set of sheets

When we first arrived, the unit hadn’t been cleaned yet. It reeked strongly of dog and definitely needed a refresh. I contacted the owners, and while they were apologetic, cleaners weren’t able to come until around 6 PM even though check-in was at 3 PM. We left for dinner and the arcade, and when we returned, the smell was still there—just a little lighter, likely because they vacuumed.The bedding had an odd odor, and one pillow smelled as if it had gotten wet and put away without drying properly, so I couldn’t use it. The whole place could benefit from a deep carpet cleaning and some air freshening. We even lit the partial candle left behind, which helped slightly.There was also no hand soap in the bathroom, which I feel is essential and should be provided. On the positive side, the towels, toilet paper, and paper towels were good quality, and the shower was fantastic. The green paint in the bathroom is gorgeous, and the binder provided in the entryway had helpful info about check-in/out, restaurants, and the L train. However, it mentioned marked trash bins we couldn’t find, and the toaster oven’s numbers were completely worn off, making it hard to use.Overall, our stay wasn’t terrible, but the unit’s cleanliness and small missing essentials definitely need attention to make the experience more comfortable.

Overall the stay was great. I would give 4.75 stars if i could: 1. Great location, walking distance to the blue line and bus, 2. Clear check in/check out instructions, 3. Easy use of tv and there was a wii and movies available, 4. 1st issue- You can not control the air temp i had to message a few times to either turn up or turn down-it either was frigid or it got to warm, and there would be times that it didn't kick on at all, but the owner was amazing with communication even at 10:30 pm, 5. Two of the beds do require climbing thin stairs so more suited for young people (the pictures show the stairs so not a complaint just to make aware), 6. Don't expect to be able to cook full meals, there is a microwave, toaster oven and hot plate but it worked great for what we were cooking-the amenities do say stove as an amenity -not a cimplaint just to make aware 7. 2nd issue- We were advised to watch our noise level but the upstairs neighbors do not have the same consideration-loud stomping, we could hear them talking and it was all hours of the night 8. There is an automatic light that comes on when you come through the first door to go down the few stairs, which was great because my mil is in her late 70's. The house overall was very nice, in a great neighborhood and walkable to so many things.

Spacious and comfortable. Close access to downtown.Temperature control is offsite requiring email communication to have it adjusted. Unit was chilly during our stay. Easy communication with host but it seemed to return to base temperature each day and didn't want to have to email continually to get it to a more comfortable temperature.

So staying in this VRBO is truly a mixed bag. Great location. Great parking. Clean with a caveat. No top sheets and it is impossible to know when the last time the comforter was washed, but it looked clean.The bed situation is not good. There is only one of the 3 beds that are at ground level and that bed is a little bigger than a twin bed. The other 2 beds are up 3 pretty big steps with no handrails. Pretty dangerous in the middle of the night. There is no thermostat to adjust the heating and cooling. According to my watch it was 65 degrees in the unit when we got there. Have to write the owner through VRBO messaging to get the temperature adjusted. There is only one thermostat for the whole house and there is only so much they can adjust it. So they suggested that we open the windows and close all of the vents. It was hot outside that the unit ran all the time. Condensation from the air ran down the walls and soaked the carpet. Don't know if that happens when it gets hot or was a malfunction. Owner said they would have someone come take a look after we departed. Nice place. Nice bathroom. Good space but be aware of the issues, especially the bed situation.

Oak Park, IL Apartment

The only issue was with the toilet and air conditioner. The toilet needs to be fixed and the air conditioner was on so high that it was uncomfortable (too cold). The temperatures outside were not hot during the time of our stay. So, it didn't seem necessary for it to be so cold inside the apartment. The owner was very kind at turning it down but shared that it cooled the entire building. So, it couldn't be turned completely off. He controled the air conditioner. It took effort to get the toilet to flush that required me to remove the lid and lift something for it to flush.

Comfortable basement apartment in great location

Me and my sons were in town for a football game and enjoyed our stay in this comfortable basement apartment. Oak Park is a great little suburb of Chicago with a great selections of restaurants and nearby shopping. The hosts were easy to communicate with when our code to get in the apartment didn’t work. World recommend this place for smaller parties 3-4 people and would stay here again.

Our first Family Trip to Chicago

Quiet area on outskirts of Chicago. Close to everything. Clean and great for pets. Even though this place is petfriendly you would never know any animals have ever stayed there because it is so clean. Very good experience!

Nice stay near the big city

My friend and i stayed at this listing to explore the Windy City and to see a speaker in Near North. We found the proximity to the 'L' made it very easy to travel to take in some local sights. We found a few things in the rental not quite up to par but the overall stay was a positive one. We would consider booking this listing in the future.

Great Stay

Clean and convenient, in a very nice part of town, located near a lot of shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. Unit itself was as described. Be mindful that older folks or people with bad backs/legs/etc. will have to navigate several bed situations that are in raised lofts and must be accessed by climbing precarious stairs (there is one normal level bed, and a couch that could be used as a bed). For us, this wasn't an issue, but I kept thinking, "Thank goodness I'm still young enough to manage this". All the amenities were there (TV, streaming, wonderful bathroom with a beautiful shower, clear instructions for check-in/check-out), and a mostly functional kitchen (toaster oven did not work so I was unable to re-toast a hot sandwich I'd gotten). Also no coffee for the coffee maker, only instant, which.... yeah. Aside from these tiny things, the stay was great. I'd come here again. Our thanks to the owner!

Easy to get to and SO close to the train station. Cute little neighborhood with plenty of restaurants to walk to. The place was so clean and nice. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again!! Came here on a girls trip and felt very safe. Highly suggest!
