The host was prompt to answer questions and very helpful.The house was not as clean as it should be, there were hairs in one of the beds upon arrival. Family sleeping downstairs said the boards creak so much and the water heater was loud all night, they didn't sleep well. Overall, the host was good, location for navy base, restaurants, & grocery stores were good. Neighborhood is good. The kitchen is not well equipped.

Our family stayed here for my son's Navy boot camp graduation. It was fantastic. There are 3 bedrooms on the main level and another in the basement, along with a bonus entertainment/bedroom. It comfortably sleeps 7. The host is fantastic and responds quickly to any concerns or needs. I left my necklace on the nightstand, and he put it in the mail without delay. We mentioned suggestions regarding the heating, and he said he'd look into addressing it for future guests.We look forward to booking with this host for our next trip to Illinois.

The VRBO was perfect for our girls' weekend!!!! It was clean, spacious, and the amenities were amazing (Kurig with K-cups, paper towels, napkins, etc. The neighborhood surrounding the home felt very safe. We shopped at Gurnee Mills which was only 10-12 minutes away. We will definitely rent this VRBO again if we go next year. We all agreed that the home is 5 star all the way!!

Nice quiet neighborhood, no-one bothered us. Felt secure and safe. House was just as the pictures state. Lovely flooring especially in the bathrooms. The left us treats, snacks, chips and soda's which I thought was very nice. Appreciated that. 5 miles from the mall and 6 flags. This was a 10 out of 10. The host was amazing, fast responding. RTC Graduation

We rented the place to have a quiet place to stay and spend time with my daughter who was graduating. Overall, the stay went well. The home looks like the pictures. There was quite a bit of bugs in the house (alive and dead). Once we took care of that it was fine. We were only there for a few days. It's only 10-15 minutes from the base barring traffic so it provided what we needed during our stay.

Navy Graduation

We came in to town for a Navy graduation. This property was perfect for our stay. It accommodated a big family very comfortably. The extra bedroom downstairs/basement with the game room/tv room was absolutely perfect as well. The kids enjoyed having their own space. The property was in a very quiet neighborhood, the house was very clean as well. We cooked, we laughed, our Sailor enjoyed coming back to a house not a hotel to relax after his ceremony. My only suggestion is thicker curtains, when the light is on in the living room, you can see inside. Also a curtain in the master bathroom, it was kinda creepy early in the morning. The back side neighbor couldn't see in but just that what if feel. I would definitely suggest this property to other's for future Navy Graduations. It was so close to the RTC and close to the Walmart and Casino.

Perfect Place for Family Celebration

Our family came to visit for our son's Navy Bootcamp Graduation. This house was very comfortable. There were plenty of spaces to relax & visit with each other. The house was well equipped. The host was extremely helpful & friendly. We highly recommend this home!

Property was well cared for and clean. Communication with owner was easy and smooth. We ended up having to extend our stay by a day and the owner was very accomodating and responded quickly to our request. I would definitely rent this property again and recommend it to others.

Gurnee Getaway great for RTC graduation

Overall listing was spot on. Clean overall, a little on the chilly side upon arrival and one trash can was not empty. Couple items it could use are hand towels for rhe bathrooms, additional dish towels and dish cloths in the kitchen. Aybe add some board games? Other then a few additionas it was a great locations and perfect for what we needed.

Great family stay

Our son graduated from boot camp. We have a blended family and this location allowed all of us to stay in one place with plenty of space. We had pretty much everything we needed to accommodate all 10 of us. We still had enough space to have our sailor come back and relax before heading back.
