Courteous and professional staff: maid, breakfast area, and front desk. What was TERRIBLE was the smell of the pillows--regardless of clean pillow cases. It smelled like people sleep on these pillows but these are never thoroughly cleaned. It was so strong that it made sleeping uncomfortable.

Overall experience is nice, the rooms, the aesthetics, the amenities internal and external, everytime i travel to Chicago for business or pleasure and I'm not staying downtown i stay here. Sad to see some of the retail shops go.

Rooms were clean and in very nice condition. Hotel itself was also very nice. I also liked that there was a breakfast bar in the morning. It would have been nice to have free parking, although $8.50 per night is pretty reasonable. However, I was very disappointed that I did not get the room I had reserved (and paid for!) when I booked. I requested a suite with a balcony. This room cost a bit more, but I thought the balcony would be nice. When we checked in, I was told that the room was not available. When I mentioned that the room I reserved cost more than the other suite, I was told that there was nothing to be done, because it was already paid. The person helping me was very nice and comped my parking, but I was still unhappy that the room I reserved wasn't available. Isn't this why people place reservations?!?

We live near this hotel, so don’t have much call to stay here, but have recommended it because of its proximity to our house. Now we’re having work done at our place and needed an overnight stay. We were so happy to discover Hampton Inn. It’s decor is contemporary and is welcoming. It still feels new, even though this hotel has been around for awhile. The online booking, price, staff and location, of course were all great. Our room? Excellent- very quiet and a nice view. I also like that when I check out this morning, I’ll be able to visit a few shops before I head out. Will continue to recommend and do it now with the knowledge that Hampton Inn in Mount Prospect is a wonderful choice. Thanks!
