Wasn't even able to stay. Said my room was sold upon arrival because I didn't answer an unknown number at 7:21 pm (I was driving to the hotel) and they didn't leave a message either, so when I arrived at the property around 8, my room was suddenly gone. They said many lies about not having a card on my account, no email associated, etc etc.
I pointed out their lies, and left to find a new hotel. As I booked a new hotel, they called me and said somehow the room is available?
An hour later, the room that was supposedly sold,(that I booked a month in advance) and "the hotel was completely booked that night" my room is suddenly available?
They don't say anywhere In their policy that you have to check in before 7:30 pm or the room is gone.
The worker claimed that because they were fully booked that night, they were calling to "authorize payments."
If a hotel calls the evening before someone checks in to make sure they have "sufficient funds/payment on file", it makes me wonder where else are they dropping the ball. No hotel checks to see if the person booking has a authorized payment method that day, ESPECIALLY after sending not one but TWO confirmation emails weeks before.
Ended up staying somewhere else, was able to get an ADA accessible room at the other hotel, and learned my lesson not to trust holiday inn.
