Unacceptable service

I rarely leave negative reviews for my trips. The daytime staff during our check-in and check-out were wonderful. However, my one-star rating is for the night-time service — and I wish I could give zero stars if the system allowed it. The toilet in our room was clogged, and after waiting 30 minutes with no response, I called the front desk again. Instead of sending someone to fix the issue, they brought us a plunger and told us to fix it ourselves! I have never encountered this kind of service at any hotel before. This is completely unacceptable.

Over 100 better hotels in Chicago!

This hotel is well below average. It tries to be hip, but it is really a dated building with some superficial updates. Worst issue was my room on 5th floor faced a bar/club on the street below with extremely loud music til 2 am. Towel rack was coming out of the wall. Safe didn’t work. Toilet was literally 12” from the floor. I do not recommend this hotel, nor would I ever stay there again.

Wonderful

Came to town for a concert and had a wonderful stay! Had the horrible realization that I’d left my wallet at home, but the staff were very kind and patient and helped me get checked in regardless. Room was very comfortable. Wish we’d had a better view than the building next door, but that’s just bad luck. Valet parking was great. Overall, very satisfied!
