Communication with the host was top notch. She responded in a timely matter each time and explained in detail any question I needed answered. We did have several issues regarding our stay. The listing did not state that the property had no elevators to the 3rd floor where our room was located. We had to drag very heavy luggage up 3 flights. Some of the blinds were damaged as well. Also, we were eye level with the train that passed, at times every 5 minutes. So the noise was on another level. They did provide us with ear plugs but its not the most comfortable way to sleep. And speaking of sleep, the frame of the bed was metal , so there was a lot of squeaking. There was also a rug in the bedroom that my wife almost tripped over several times until we had to roll it up. Water preasure was also very poor in the shower. Lastly, the air conditioner unit was extremely loud. Overall, the unit itself was well kept and clean, we just wouldn't choose to stay there again.
The location was fantastic. We were just a couple blocks from the Green and Pink line on Clinton. There was a code to get into the building so it felt safe. The code to the door was great because there was no key to worry about since I had to work and my hubby was in and out of the apartment all day. There were a couple small things, the bed squeaks a lot. Also, it is very clear in the listing that the train is close. It is about 30ft straight out from the window. I'm not a light sleeper so I had no issues sleeping and my hubby used the ear plugs so he was also fine.
