House Rules:
1. Please read over and agree to the rental agreement before booking. Any damages or house rule violations will be deducted from the damage deposit. 2. Please note we may require that you answer a few questions after booking. We look forward to hosting you! 3. If full payment is not received 28 days prior to your stay we reserve the right to cancel your stay and keep the amount already paid Rental Agreement and House Rules (Once you book, you agree to all terms.)
General Principles:
âą These House Rules are intended to ensure that our property and neighbors are respected. Rest assured, there should be no problems if that happens, but if you feel you cannot follow our Rules, we respectfully ask that you not book with us. âą Please respect our property and neighbors (there are families in the association) and keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 p.m. Guests are not permitted past 10 p.m.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
âą If any party that may disturb our neighbors is thrown, large or small, or anyone engages in drug use, including marijuana use, we will require you to leave the property and impose the fines below.
Damage Deposit and Fines:
âą We have overwhelmingly positive relationships with our guests and are rarely forced to fine anyone. Our intent is not to prevent you and your group from enjoying yourselves. We want all of our guests to have fun! Instead, our intent is to weed out bad actors and prevent situations that may disturb our neighbors and damage our property. âą We impose fines if any party is thrown, large or small ($1,000); anyone smokes in the property ($350); the keys are not returned ($35); or any theft occurs ($500 minimum depending on the item). We may also impose a $100 fine for excessive noise. âą If you timely let us know that an item is missing or damaged, we will simply charge a replacement cost. But if this is unreported, we will impose a fine of, or reduce your damage deposit by, three times the replacement cost for the missing or damaged item. âą If the number of guests exceeds the number specified in the reservation, we will impose a $25 charge per unspecified guest each night. If the number of guests exceeds the maximum allowed by our listing, we will impose $50 fine for each extra guest each night, and either keep your damage deposit or impose a $100 fine. âą On rare occasion, when our home is left unusually dirty, the cleaner charges extra. If this occurs, you will be charged $50 for each hour of cleaning beyond the allotted cleaning time. âą Checking out after 11 a.m. on the last day of your stay may result in a $50 fine if you are not out by 11:15 a.m. and an additional $50 fine for each subsequent hour.
After Booking:
âą After booking with us and before your stay, we will require you to send us a picture of your government-issued ID. (We will respect your privacy. This process is no different from a hotel requiring to see your ID upon arrival.) After receiving your ID, we will send you access instructions for the unit approximately one week before your stay or immediately if your stay is less than one week away. âą Individuals who reside locally in Chicago or in nearby surrounding areas may be asked to cancel. âą We may call you to conduct a final screening. If we reach out, access instructions will not be released until we speak. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours after reaching out for the screening, we may ask you to cancel your reservation.
Check-out:
âą Check-out is at 11 a.m. on the last day of your stay. This applies to all stays unless at least one day before check-out: (1) an alternate plan has been agreed to, and (2) payment for late check-out or extending your stay has been made. âą Checking out on time is extremely important. The cleaners will clean right after your stay, and new guests often check in shortly thereafter.
Perfect spot! The place was clean, bright and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well stocked. Communications were clear with detailed instructions for parking, entry, the amenities and more. So many great restaurants within walking distance. Would love to stay again.
Super easy checkin instructions, great communication with hosts and super clean rental. Loved the location - not far from the red line train and the âmain downtownâ area of Andersonville is adorable with lots of good food! We had a great weekend away!!!!!
Great little place with dedicated off-street parking
My husband and I stayed here while helping one adult son move apartments, and having dinner with another son. Great location for visiting both, and very nice to have dedicated off-street parking . (However, we were driving a full-size SUV - Toyota Highlander - and my husband is a large man. Fitting the car into the space next to a fence, while leaving him room to exit, was a little tricky, but we managed it. Just had to leave extra time for leaving the space.) The VRBO apartment was spacious, actually bigger than we needed for our short stay, and nicely furnished and supplied. Would definitely consider staying again when back to visit our sons. One caveat, again from my large husband - the toilet seat seemed about 3/4 size. He found that awkward. I had no issues.
right size for 2 people, designated parking space, great location, 2-3 blocks from the EL (10 minutes to Wrigley, 20 minutes to downtown), good neighborhood, restaurants & bars within an easy walk. Go to Big Joe's on Friday's for the turtle races.
This was perfect for us. We walked to Montrose Harbor, to great restaurants in every direction & had several music venues within walking distance as well.
Great little property, convenient location, cute neighborhood
Great location, convenient to the train, scooters, and electric bikes. Fun little neighborhood lots an options and quick little trip to Wrigley and the waterfront. The unit was very clean, communication with owners very easy and included parking was a huge plus. Would definitely recommend
