I stayed at this hotel on May 11-May 13 with my mom to attend my graduation at the University of IL. Little did I know that Ubers/Lyft hardly operate here, but the Hotel Manager (Golu /Gaurav) helped me with last minute travel arrangement ensuring my security and also recommendations for good food in the area. Thanks Golu. Hotel is being renovated but my safe was peaceful and neat with no complaints. I wish them All the Best.

i had a very bad stay. The manager tried to come in my room at 1:15am. They offer no type of breakfest. Ialso had to change rooms, than second room didnt have secondary lock manager could have gained entry in middle of night without my knowledge.

Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. The only time any staff member would try to enter a room a guest was currently in, is when attempting to provide housekeeping or verifying if a guest has left after checkout. In this case, there was a miscommunication as I was checking rooms that evening to see if the room was clean for another guest. Thinking you had already moved rooms I went to the door, but when I saw you were in there I apologized and corrected the issue so that it would not happen again. I am also sorry that there was no breakfast at the time of your stay but am pleased to say that the attached restaurant is now open for breakfast. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you in the future.

The room was very dirty. Blood in the bathroom blood on the mattress pad. Burn marks on the blankets in the room. Bed bug powder under the bed.
And Charged twice for the room.

Run down would be a euphemism for the property. Dirty. Bad area of town. So-so attitude of staff. I didn't even sleep under the sheets because of the fear of bed-bugs. I felt that I needed a tetanus shot after staying there.

Location is the only thing good about this hotel!
Very old and run down. Needs serious updating. If I had stayed here after the season premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel, I would have run out!!

Good value for the money
Pros:Free breakfast, Free Internet
Bathrooms could use updating. Had to ask for shampoo and lotion that was forgotten one day when the bathroom was cleaned up.
