This facility is a sad, decrepit shadow of its former self (The Sutton Place hotel, which we stayed at several times). The "Signature" part of the name undoubtedly refers to the rooms' furnishings: likely bought at a garage sale in 2005. We experienced unpleasantness from FOUR rooms (in four days). Fundamentally, a hotel room is somewhere to SLEEP, which is difficult when the sheets are NEVER fitted, and the sides are tucked in but not the feet! I've been sleeping with fitted sheets since 1959, so I object to having to remake a bed to prevent sheet bunching. If I ever stay here again (highly doubtful), I WILL bring my own sheets. From broken door latches on the refrigerator cupboard; to light bulbs that didn't work; to the non-functioning electrical outlet in the washroom; to a heating system that is totally skewed by the ancient, difficult-to-manoeuvre blinds (hence, impossible to achieve comfort when the weather is cold); hard-to-use table lamps; and missing handles on drawers, this hotel draws visitors with three simple features: it's attached to the pedway system (so no parkas required to shop at Edmonton City Centre), heated parking, and a really HOT hot tub (with great views from the 26th floor). I should have twigged to the disaster awaiting me when I noticed that the lobby has the same worn-out seating that was there fifteen years ago. Fortunately, the staff are very good (although they used to be excellent). Staying here was a Christmas I will try to forget....

When I booked I messaged the hotel to let them know we would be traveling with a person in a wheelchair. I never got a response back. Room was tight for him. It served its purpose. Doing some renovations maybe and was loud at 7:30am. Staff was helpful once we checked in on how to get around and to Roger’s place.

The room was 5 star posh. Loved the pool but the stairs were a little hard to manage as i twisted my knee 2 days prior. Checkin and checkout were perfect. The hotel was close to everything. The area and Chop. Loved it all.
