While our room was spacious, clean and cozy, don't think I will return. The hotel is dated and sorely in need of updating. Parking was difficult to find one evening, we were concerned we would be ticketed. Even though it was chilly outside, we turned off the heat, opened the window and our room was still uncomfortably hit. The hot tub was nice and even came with mineral bath salt! The kitchenette was cute and came with a dishwasher, microwave, no stove but a hot plate, utensils needed for cooking, cutlery, blender and full size refrigerator! The fireplace added ambiance and didn't look tacky. The balcony rooms come with a shared balcony and would be great if you were traveling in a group. It's a convenient location to restaurants and the main shopping area. Saw lots of deer and elk near the property. The staff was super friendly. I'd love to give this place a better review but some areas need to be looked into.

We do have overflow parking behind our hotel, I apologize if that was not communicated with you checkin- I will speak with all of our staff to ensure all of our guests are notified of our overflow parking when they checkin. A charming hotel near the hear of Estes Park. Loved the gas fireplace and jet-tub. It's also close to one of the better pizza places in the area. Very good COVID-19 sanitation and precautions. We would stay here again.

The Appenzell Inn was a cozy little stay where you enjoyed just relaxing in the room, by the pool or in the hot tub, even when there was a foot of snow outside in February. We loved it!

Nice location, clean comfy bed, nice big double spa bath.
Some parts of room really dirty, breakfast was a bust...no fruit and coffee just warm and STRONG, and about gone.
One fun part was smores and fire pit EXCEPT the overpowering stench of something dead in the vicinity - that by morning had drifted to the porch outside our room. Ugh. Also, large amount of furniture and garbage dumped adjacent to firepit area behind a fence.
Hot tub not working, which was very disappointing.
Staff nice.
