Nice little place to stay. There were a few small maintenance issues that I did tell the staff before we left. I really appreciate the communication with the staff. They had made arrangements through the owner to bring my dog, but we found a babysitter before we got there. The only thing I can recommend to the host is putting ice trays in the freezer. There were no ice trays, and no ice on site. Recommend to any guests who will be staying here, if youâre going to be staying for more than a couple days to bring your own groceries. There is only one grocery store in town, and it was packed.
Property is clean but dated. No air conditioning. Nice kitchen. We enjoyed our stay but it was noisy. We could hear the people next to us and above us. Our son slept on the pullout sofa and neighbors left their porch light on all night making it hard to sleep. Room darkening shades would solve this issue.
I called property mgmnt telephone to ask for more coffee as I could not find the online request. The lady that answered said it was too late anyway and no she could not make a call o have any delivered. There was a nail sticking up in the flor by stove. I did contact a cleaning person next door and showed her the issue and she called a maintenance person to come with hammer and drive nail back in wood. The bed was comfortable but next time we will book a place with king bed. Living room couch cushions no support and I think couch needs replacement. We would also next time look at renting a newer unit.
Itâs hard to not like any place you stay in Estes Park, Co.
Needs more storage for clothing if staying more than one or two nights. Having a place to hang coats, jackets behind the entry door would also be nice. View from bedroom window is not greatâŠ
The place was clean upon arrival. Nice location close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Now for the not so good. After we arrived and brought all our stuff in we noticed there were no vents for A/C. Found out there is no A/C in the unit and they provide 2 really cheap fans. During our stay the unit stayed at 80 degrees until around midnight it would drop down to 75. We kept the only 2 windows that opened, open at all times , there is no air flow. One fan made more noise than air flow. To say the least it was hot and uncomfortable.
The bed is very old and worn out. When you lay on it, it would fold you up like a taco! Once we were both in bed it slanted to the left and we felt we were about to get dumped out onto the floor. The 4 nights we stayed here between the worn out bed and the hot cabin we maybe got 3 hours of broken sleep each night. Nothing like laying in a taco full of your own sweat. We were so sleep deprived we cut our trip short and left 2 nights early (which they would not refund).
Other notes there is no place to unpack your clothes and no where to set your suitcase full of clothes. The shower is dark could use more lighting in the bathroom. Did find 2 small roaches in the kitchen the first morning, not sure where they ran off to, but did not see them again during our stay.
Would not return to this cabin, I am by no means high maintenance, if I would have known all these things ahead of time we would have grabbed our tent and went camping for the same experience and saved a lot of money!
