Relax in style on your next Galveston beach vacation in this bright and beautifully furnished home just steps away from the beach! Recently remodeled, this second-row beach house is ideal for guests who want easy access to the beach. The front-side deck has outdoor seating where you can enjoy the ocean view. Downstairs has a covered space with a porch swing and picnic area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need for meals. The open floor plan is perfect for gatherings. All new furniture including comfy new mattresses. Located in Karankawa Beach just down from Jamaica Beach. Karankawa Beach prohibits vehicles on it making it a much more relaxing beach experience.

Need snacks for a beach day? Seven Seas Grocery Store is within walking distance from home. Also nearby, explore Galveston Country Club (4 miles) and Galveston Island State Park (4.5 miles). A bit further out, be sure to visit Galveston’s 61st Street Fishing Pier (11.9 miles), Pleasure Pier (14.5 miles), and Strand Historic District (15 miles). The whole family can have a great day in the Moody Gardens area (12.2 miles) which features an aquarium, water parks, a theme park, and a zoo.

Perfect accommodation

Lounging by the Sea was exactly as pictured, spotlessly clean, and in a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and felt very comfortable staying here!

This beach house is in the perfect location and provides everything you need to enjoy your stay. It's open and spacious, the beds are comfortable and the view from the deck is amazing. Look no further when considering where to stay. This one is top notch and I can't wait to visit again!

Cute and cozy place by the waves

The inside has been updated and super cute! Comfy beds and furniture. I think 7 can stay comfortably. The lock on the door was tricky but otherwise very good.

Exceptional Beach House

The house was beautifully furnished and the kitchen had everything! The beach was very accessible-right across the street. It did rain while we were there and the street had water but we were able to drive through it. You did have to wade through it to get to the beach though. Without the water in the street it was perfect.

House was very nice. When I was standing outside close to the trash cans, water was leaking a lot from the pea trap area ( the pvc pipes) from the draining of the master bathtub. It’s above the wooden storage area close to the outdoor shower. It only leaked when we drained the bathtub

Family vacation

We have come to this area 3 years now, we love the location. The home could use some TLC, especially the electronic door lock, could not use the feature, had to use key to lock deadbolt. Great view of beach, however windows are older and could be updated to take advantage of views. They are mildewing/foggy. Looking past these things, the home has good beds, house cooking was pleasant. We had a great week!

1 min walk to the beach!

Location was perfect but check in was confusing. The door was still locked after inputting the code and we weren’t told that there was another lockbox with a key in it until we called the reservation number (support number was no help) so we were waiting outside in the heat for about 30 min. The house could use some maintenance, both tubs were clogged and the screens on the windows were broken upon arriving although that didn’t affect us too much.

Needs works done

My daughter and 1 year old grandson almost fell down the stairs due to stairs needing work. I called Sunday and they were supposed to come Monday morning never showed I called again and they came Wednesday. So we had to go slow the entire trip up and down the stairs being nervous. Any problems. Dust!!!!!!!! The move rocks when someone is walking. It’s older than the pictures. Need Tv in all rooms for kids!! Other than that we had a great time…..

Nice Getaway

We stayed here while my daughter had an event at Moody, and it was a nice break from being in the City and only about a 15 min drive to get back there. The space worked perfectly for us. My partner and I, my 70s mother, and my daughter's boyfriend stayed the first 3 days, and my daughter joined us after her event, and the space accommodated us perfectly. The only thing that was an annoyance, and nothing against the property, was that there was construction work being completed on the house across the street and they were using a piece of heavy machinery which beeped when they moved it. The person doing the work was inconsiderate about the neighbors and even worked on Sunday morning at 8 am. Beeping was so constant that we really couldn't enjoy the outdoor spaces when it was going on, and it woke us up early while on vacation. Again, not a fault of this property, just an inconsiderately timed issue for us.

Girl’s trip

We love everything about this beach house! The king bed was so comfortable. The rest of my party said the other beds were comfortable as well. The air conditioning worked great! The water pressure was wonderful. The location is awesome. The beach is right there. It is close to everything you might need. Ice, groceries, gas. It is the perfect beach house and we will be back to stay here again! Loved it!!!!! We noticed some ants coming in the window of one of the bedrooms, but we called them to let them know and I’m sure it will be fixed because the house was very clean and well cared for. It truly was a great vacation staying in this beach house!

Beautiful Weekend

We rented the house during a family reunion. The ease of walking out the door and being at the beach was incredible. We also loved the hang out area under the house and the outdoor shower. We cooked a bunch, enjoyed sunrise from the porch every day and generally had a wonderful trip. I would rent this house again.

Great location

Direct beach access and views made our stay enjoyable. Well equipped kitchen and comfy furniture for evening meals and relaxing was a plus. Loved the supportive beds! Slept great. Conveniently close to good restaurants a neighborhood store.

Great location. Great price.

The house was in a great location with easy beach access. It was reasonably priced. Home is well taken care of and having central a/c is great. It would have got a 5 star review except that the beds in my opinion felt like you are sleeping on the floor. Way to firm for me. Other than that everything was great.
