Beware - Scam or just disrespectful

About 30 min prior to arrival to Geneva, it dawned on me that we hadn’t received any directions for check in. We paid and everything was confirmed. We tried calling and even VRBO support couldn’t reach the host. They canceled us at the last moment and nearly everything was sold out around the area for a family of 2 adults, a 5 and almost 2 year old. We had to rebook at an awful hotel in an unsafe area. It was a nightmare! The host has a 0% response rate. I should known better not to trust this host.

My stay was confirmed l. But i never received the arrival details. I texted via app several times with owner and never heard anything. We had to cancel our trip at last minute since we never received arrival details. I am waiting for a refund from VRBO, and am put of train fare too.
