This is gorgeous hotel. The staff are so kind, courteous and attentive. My room was spacious, with comfortable bed, stunning mountain views, and of course the Japanese heated toilet seat which is a luxury! The food was delicious. I ate both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and every little dish was so fresh, interesting and served like beautiful art. The onsen baths are wonderful and relaxing and I enjoyed the sauna as well. Short 10 min walk to the little town center and train station. I liked being away from the shopping street. I felt so taken care of and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel booking included half board. We requested our special needs and we were extremely happy with the meal preparation and presentation. The public bath/onsen was good and so was the private onsen in the room. The transportation was timely and staff even helped us to load and unload our luggage. We stayed for one night at Aura Tachibana, and our arrival from Osaka was unfortunately delayed by 3 hours due to a tsunami but we informed the hotel ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The kaiseki dinner was amazing, so much food and beautifully presented. It was served in the restaurant (not in the rooms) with a lovely view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were amazing! My family and I felt like kings and queens. The property is charming, clean, private and well taken care of.
