Luxurious Log Home - 42 North Is Your Cooperstown Home Away

42 North-The Log House is a luxuriously renovated 3 BR/2BA log home providing a gracious setting for enjoying the Cooperstown area in supreme comfort. Set on a gentle hillside, a wide front porch looks out over a large front lawn and mountain views while a private bluestone patio with a Weber grill and koi pond invites entertaining and relaxation outdoors. 42 North is a luxury rental property comprised of a main log house and a separate garage with log-style loft apartment set on a gentle hillside with panoramic mountain views. The large front lawn and paved drive/parking are all the two units share.

Inside The Log House, the renovated kitchen is complete with soapstone countertops, glass tile backsplash and all stainless appliances, including a wine refrigerator. A large center island with seating provides ample work space as well as a gathering place during meal preparations. The first of two bars provides an additional gathering spot. The combined dining and living room features bay windows and a beamed cathedral ceiling. A large dining table comfortably seats 8 and leather living room furniture is centered on a wood stove and flat-screen with surround sound. The game room features a classic slate pool table, wood paneled fireplace with thermostat-controlled propane stove, a large wet bar with beverage refrigerator, a 60” plasma TV with premium surround sound and BlueRay, and ample seating.

Each of the three bedrooms features queen-size Stearns & Foster pillow top mattresses, large closets, and excellent storage. One guest bedroom has a wall-mounted flat screen TV. The master bedroom en-suite is a full bath with storage, and the second full bath is shared by the secondary bedrooms. The master en-suite sports a river stone floored walk-in shower and the guest bath a deep soaking tub. Both bathrooms feature marble, high end plumbing fixtures and heat lamps to soothe away the chills of winter. Additional sleeping space to a capacity of 10 is provided by a sleeper sofa and futon in the game room.

All bedrooms and the game room are carpeted, bathrooms are tiled, and the remainder of the house sports warm pine flooring. Paint colors were selected to highlight the log walls help create a contemporary coziness that is irresistible.

An automatic whole house propane generator ensures weather will not adversely affect your ability to enjoy your stay. A Kinetico water system provides softened, iron-free water for bathing, laundry and drinking. The premium Samsung laundry machines feature steam settings - wrinkle free clothes and warm towels are readily had!

Perfect rental!!!

This home was the perfect spot for our mini weekend vacation. Close to Cooperstown and so many other fun activities for the family. The owner Tom was very responsive to texts and emails on our arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked, linens and towels were also provided. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations! Great Cabin Experience

The house was out in the boonies but was to get into Cooperstown. If the weather was nicer we could have sat out on the front porch or the back patio. We were met when we arrived by Tom who showed us around the property. Kitchen was large and well equipped. Loved the wood floors and walls. Great cabin feeling. Didn't use the downstairs pool table and lounge area. Loved that we could use the washer and dryer to catch up on laundry. Master bedroom was large and had a great walk-in shower. Had a little trouble with the TV and finding channels. Perhaps a sheet of paper with operating instructions would help. Would recommend this property.

Friends Getaway

The property is just enough off the beaten path to give you the peace and quiet you are looking for but close enough to everything Cooperstown and the surrounding areas have to offer. Staying here leaves you a 5-10 minute drive to it all. Quiet, peaceful, well appointed property that offers everything you could possibly need on a trip away and Tom was immediately available if needed. We will be back!!!

Great house ; great location

The house was perfect and exactly what we wanted and as displayed online . Very comfortable and we had fun with the pool table. The front porch overlooking the valley and hills was lovely . Nice touches like both foam and down pillows and plenty of towels . The area is great, not too busy but close to lots of things from hiking and lakes to antiques and craft breweries . Tom was very communicative and helpful .

Great Weekend Away

Me and some friends rented the house for a trip to Cooperstown. The property had plenty of space and great amenities. The pool table and downstairs room was a nice place to relax. The outdoor porch overlooked the area and was nice and relaxing. Tom was a great host and would recommend this house to anyone looking to have a peaceful stay. Baseball HoF was just a short drive away, as well.

Cooperstown getaway with friends

We travel a couple of times a year with a group of friends and this was the nicest, cleanest house we’ve ever rented! We stayed off season with a group of three couples and one single. The downstairs game room worked out perfectly for a fourth bedroom. There was a lot of living space spread out really nicely and the house is definitely maintained very well. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would ever need and it was an easy drive to the grocery store and Cooperstown. We’d definitley rent again!

Wonderful stay! Comfy beds and very clean. Tom is always available... (eventhough we only needed to called him once), as everything is perfect! About 20 minutes to Cooperstown DreamsParks, but beautiful and easy drive!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home. We found it to be exceptionally clean given that we have allergies and found no signs of dust. The house provided a rustic yet modern stay for us and was close to ball fields and the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again.

beautiful house in great location!

My family of 6 stayed at 42 North for 2 nights this Spring. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything was comfortable. Nice TVs, some board games and a pool table kept everyone entertained in the evenings. The house is only a 15 minute drive from Cooperstown but is very secluded with no visible neighbors and lots of open space. The kids did NOT want to leave! The well water had a bit of a funny smell and the back patio needs some repair, but overall this house was great and we would definitely rent it again..
