Nice quit place to stay. Awesome view. All 5 ponds were very peaceful. Hearing the frogs every day was awesome. Saw some deers and a possum. The owner kept to them selves unless we needed something. Would stay here again.
This beautiful "above the barn" 2 bedroom apartment is perfect for our family visits to Livonia. We also enjoy visits to nearby tranquil Hemlock Lake Park. The hosts Larry and Cindy are wonderful and we have no complaints. However, the WiFi signal from the house does not work inside the apartment since the barn is a metal building. This year we brought along a remote WiFi antenna which resolved the problem.
Very nice place, very quiet and relatively close to the lakes and places. Quick and efficient communication with the owners. Recommend for a short stay!
This is such a cute and picturesque property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated the personal service and attention.
We would definitely stay here again.
We liked everything. We will recommend it to friends
Stayed for three days. All liked it. The house has everything for living. There is heating and air conditioning. On the balcony in the morning we drank coffee and listened to the birds singing. There are many of them here. There are beautiful parks with waterfalls nearby. Recommended.
I loved my stay here. Great location; not too far from the city, but nice and close to the countryside I came to visit. Lovely apartment that has a decently stocked kitchen and beautiful bathroom. Beds are comfy and so is the recliner sofa. Great communication from Cindy & Larry. If I need a place to stay in the area again, Iâll definitely be trying to book this place first
Great short stay in Hemlock for a four day weekend. Very nice apartment above the barn at a tree farm. Beautiful property. Would have loved to explore the property more but we were only there for a couple of days. Great scenery everywhere. Letchworth state park was amazing. Just a short drive away. Would definitely recommend.
We loved our stay. The morning view over five small ponds was a wonderful way to start our day. The property is conveniently located near the places we spent our time - Geneseo, Avon and Letchworth State Park.
Wi-Fi doesn't work inside the metal building, but can be found near the ponds.
We plan on returning to this quiet restful haven when we next visit family and friends.
This second floor apartment is very nice and comfortable and very well equipped, including an 18 cubic foot fridge/freezer and a full size range/oven plus just about everything needed for cooking great meals. There is a good supermarket a few miles away in Livonia. The balcony and windows provide a beautiful view of the valleys and hills in this rural area. The AC worked well. Television is limited to the 35 digital channels of the Rochester area stations. WiFi does not reach inside the apartment but is good in the outdoor pavilion by the pond. The queen bed is comfortable with the foam topper which could be removed for a more firm mattress. Owners Larry and Cindy were very cordial and helpful. We enjoyed our ten day stay and will probably be back again for another summer vacation.
The place was absolutely perfect! Beautiful property, had everything we needed. Checkin and out were very smooth and easy, great hosts! Would definitely come back for another stay.
Once again, my stay at Hemlock Hills was very nice.
This is is good, quiet place to relax while visiting friends & relatives in the area.
I appreciate the timely response when communicating with the host.
Cozy cottage-like stay in beautiful NY countryside
My girlfriend and I had a pleasant stay. The place is very cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The balcony provided beautiful views of the countryside (but no protection from rainfall), sunrise and stars at night, and a slightly blocked (by trees) outlook of the variety of fireworks over July 4th celebrations. While we took in all the wonderful sounds of nature (from a smorgasbord of birds to frogs), they were occasionally drowned out by the quickly travelling vehicles whizzing by the nearby road. We enjoyed our visits to Letchworth State Park (about 45 minutes away) with its breathtaking scenery (it really is the âGrand Canyon of the Eastâ), and other sweet spots like the Canandaigua Lake Pier (about 30 minutes) and a few others. We also found the local Churches convenient, including a must see for anyone spiritually inclined: the Abbey of the Genesee (also about 30 minutes drive). On our return drive from the Abbey, we stopped at Aunt Cookies Sub Shop in nearby Geneseo, for a delicious steak sub. Overall, a good stay, and one we would recommend to anyone thinking about visiting the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The ponds are great for fishing and the front two are great for seeing and feeding fish. Hosts were wonderful, property was clean and exactly as described. Plenty of room for our family of four. Store and go cart/mini gold park nearby, easy to navigate to. Paddle boat kayak and canoe were great for all of us to use. Beds comfortable! Didnât use tv at all. Wi-Fi wasnât great inside, but outside perfectly fine. Property manager very responsive. Plenty of pots/pans/utensils/linens. Five star stay and we canât wait to come again.
The first day we arrived too early. Larry, the rental owner, directed us to the north west corner of Hemlock Lake to walk the trail going south. The colors were still beautiful near the end of October. We returned to the rental to cook supper (all equipment provided)
Our primary purpose was seeing Letchworth Park. The following day we stopped at every view, walked to the river from St Helena, saw Glenn Iris and ate there, saw the Museum, and the falls. The next day we attended local church in Lakeville and visited antique shops, talked around the campfire (wood provided) at the rental. The next day we visited the War Plane Museum in Geneseo and walked a Nature Conservancy trail called Robâs Trail between Hemlock Lake and Canadice Lake going west through a hardwood forest. A very fulfilling vacation with friends.
Surrounded by the Natural Beauty of the Finger Lakes Countryside
Everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect for visiting parks and walking trails in the area. The property has abundant wildlife and the property manager and owner were most welcoming.
A country retreat that met our expectations for enjoying the simple pleasures of the outdoors that is close enough to everything we wanted to do.
Property itself quite large n quiet. Lil traffic from street but donât notice when on property. Fishing was great and numerous ponds made it fun. Location was decent not on top of Naples and lakes but close enuf to visit. I would recommend this property be very nice for couple or small family
We chose to stay here for a family wedding instead of a hotel and we are so glad we did. Such a beautiful property, very relaxing and was only one mile away from the reception. Just a perfect stay. I would definitely recommend this property.
