Simply lovely

Place was simple with a great view and prime location. Lots of stuff within walking distance, but the included parking pass was awesome too as parking in the city is definitely not cheap (50/day). Had almost everything we needed for the perfect beach days (cooler, chairs, snorkel masks, only 2 beach towels though). Kitchen and bathroom/shower were clean and got lots of use during our stay. Just need to get some mattress toppers for the beds because they are super stiff - my parents actually slept on the futon instead because it seemed comfier! Overall, great place and would stay again. :)

Nice place

I always stay at Waikiki Banyan when I visit Oahu. Convenience to the beach, and everything you can do on Kalakaua Ave is great. The parking and wifi to go with these condos is great too. This unit is very nice clean other than dusty walls in kitchen. Beds and futon aren't comfortable. Very easy check in, as you get a key code to the door. I will say if you're staying at the Waikiki Banyan and driving a large SUV or Truck the parking is not great for that. This visit we had a larger vehicle than we usually get. We had 5 adults with lots of luggage. We had a GMC Yukon Xl. Finding parking in the parking garage wasn't easy. There is only the lower level for parking large vehicles. And unfortunately this building does not specify to other drivers with small vehicles to save the spaces on lower level for large vehicles. There was a couple times I had to wait for a car to leave to park. But other than that issue Waikiki Banyan is a great place to stay.

This was NOT a luxury stay

Location is good (1 block from the beach), but most of buildings in Waikiki are close to the beach, so not that much of an advantage compared to others. I found a bag of candy under my bed from somebody that have stayed there before me so I don't think it was really clean. The towels are old, I didn't see any beach towels, shampoo and soap provided is for like 3 days. The kitchen had the minimum: for example: no salt available. The unit is on the 35th floor so be prepared to wait during the morning to get an elevator. Also, we had a fire drill, so we had to go down by foot 35 floors at 9pm (luckily it was not in the middle of the night). Parking is convenient and WiFi worked.

Our Family Holiday vacation

We came to visit our family in Hawaii and stayed in a beautiful condo. The view is amazing. Location also great. Beach, shopping and The Bus conveniently nearby. Great Barbecue, Pool and play area on the sixth floor. The unit was very comfortable. Loved the full kitchen where we were able to invite our family for a family Christmas Dinner . Thank you Kaina Realty (Yugo) Maybe we can come back and stay here again.

Excellent stay at Waikiki Banyan!

Stayed in July 2018, the property was clean and well-maintained. Newer appliances and cutlery. Beach towels, chairs and body boards available to use. A short walk (<5 min) to the beach, restaurants and stores. The building has cafeterias and a small convenience store on site. Common area on the 6th floor has a swimming pool, two hot tubs, tennis court, cafeteria and a bbq area with coin operated electric grills (needs eight quarters per hour to operate, bring a lot of change). Everything is clean and well-maintained. Parking is shared with general public so lot's of traffic in the parking garage. The sofa was very firm, may need to be replaced soon, cable TV had a noisy signal, A/C was loud. The unit has a great city and mountain views and a partial ocean view blocked by nearby buildings. Overall, a great place to stay in the heart of Waikiki!

Maybe not for kids

The railing security connections on the 35th floor balcony was very questionable so I would not allow my kids to enjoy the balcony. No broom/mop provided to clean up after ourselves. The swiffer provided is worthless. The fire alarm continually went off scaring the kids even when we weren’t cooking anything. I had to constantly grab a chair and get up close to it blow into it. One of the neighbors said it does it all the time, It appeared to be true as the cover was taped on due to being taken off so much. The beds were like sleeping on concrete and you have to constantly reinstall the bottom sheet as they don’t stay on. The kitchen table “is” actually concrete and difficult to clean. Elevators being out of service made for long waiting at certain times of the day. No area or facility to use a computer/printer to print event tickets/itineraries or boarding passes. The garage is not easy to get in and out of unless you have a very small car. The spaces are very small and the garage is usually full especially on the weekends. We didn’t go much of anywhere on the weekends because we didn’t think we would have a place to park when we got back.

Nice condo in good location

Nice condo with a beautiful view of the ocean from the bedroom. The condo was pretty quiet considering it's location in a big city. Very clean and updated. Linens, limited soaps and shampoos provided. If staying more than a week or more than two people, may want to bring or buy additional supplies. Only half of the closet is usable for guests with no dresser to store clothing. May want to use the drawers in the bathroom vanity or shelves in closet for clothing. Plenty of hangars provided. Overall it is a nice condo in a good location. Would stay there again or recommend to friends.
