Excellent fiber WiFi! Three bedrooms upstairs—2 with a double bed, and one room with 2 single beds. Downstairs has one double bed in a semi-private area at one end of the large studio/family room space. A full bathroom on each floor. Plenty of room for you and your family or friends. Two screened-in porches. This house is not fancy, but may be best described as, “Where rustic meets eclectic meets 1890s restored farmhouse.”

Dogs welcome. Sorry, no cats allowed.



SUMMER/FALL VACATION RENTAL- This rustic vacation rental in downtown Indian Lake is the perfect getaway retreat. Lots of room to spread out and then enjoy easy access to the Adirondack mountains, lakes and forests. Walk to the movie theater, ice cream parlor, Health Center, farmers' market, lakes and rivers. Great place to Say

The house has pretty much everything you might want for a home away from home for a week or so. The location is very convenient to lots of activities yet in a quiet village.

Clean but Cluttered

We had reservations for 7 nights in early August. The unit was clean but the pictures did not match the reality of the property. The cabin was an eclectic set up of used furniture that old and most covered with blankets. The lights were at times difficult to find as the majority of the lights were small plug in units. We did find the unit clean on the inside. The yard was significantly overgrown and not mowed. The person listed as the local contact did not respond to a call we put in. No TV and the internet was spotty. You need to try and live stream if you want to watch anything. We did not even try. We would not stay here again but if you are looking for the most basic set up it might work for you. My daughter rented a home two miles away for the same price that was a 10/10. This was a 3/10 as a comparison.

The house is huge. Alot of rooms and space. House has everything stocked and random things you would need. Lovely house but needs some updating and yard work. But overall a good house and in a good area lots of things to do

Practical, cozy and close to town and water

This Adirondack flat offers few frills, but is practical, clean, cozy and large. It is also walking distance to town and just a moment's drive to the water. The beds and linens are very comfortable, and we had no problem cooking dinner for five. It also had a great enclosed area in the yard just off the deck for our dogs, which we very much appreciated. I'd certainly go back.

Nice place to stay

This was a nice place for us and another family to share for a long weekend. Clean, lots of beds to choose from, lots of towels and conveniently located in a quiet town that wasn't far from various attractions. I can't speak for the other adults in our group, but my bed was comfy and I slept great! Owner and housekeeper are very friendly. One criticism is the lack of a fire pit and mostly unmowed back yard.

Wonderful weekend in the mountains!

Everything was spectacular with this home in Indian Lake! Easy access to the lake, hiking trails, and small shops in town. The house was very spacious, and had everything you would need from kitchen to cleaning supplies. I highly recommend hiking up Crane mountain and spending some time at the summit. Then at night, you can simply walk or drive to the lake and stare up at the breathtaking stars/Milky Way!

nice house, could do with some upkeep

We had a great holiday here and enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and well equipped. There is nothing fancy about the house and it is v functional . The location is great - a couple of minutes walk into the town of Indian Lake (which we liked) and a central location in the Adirondacks. Communication with owner was good. Our criticisms are: Outside was v untidy in that it appeared the grass hadn't been cut for some time and there were no seats to allow for outside eating or sitting. The beds were generally uncomfortable and none of us slept well at all - I think some new investment needed! Overall we had a good stay and loved the whole area.

"Turning 30"

We were looking for a place that we could have family and friends gather for my daughters 30th birthday. This property provided more than enough space for people to hang out and have fun (both inside and out)and sleep over. It wasn't right on the water but an 8 minute drive to a quaint beach. The second floor has a bathroom and 3 bedrooms that are separate from the GREAT room... perfect for us older folk and also for those who had a baby. (both who needed to get a good night rest.) The care takers and the owner are awesome, friendly and very accommodating. I would stay at this house again..

A unique house, perfect for a weekend getaway of rafting or skiing

The house has many rooms and can accommodate multiple people. Also the owner was very helpful and made our whitewater rafting weekend a memorable one. The nearby town is small, but walking distance from the property.
