Paradise

This estate is just what one needs to get away and enjoy the pleasures of life. Treat yourself! We did and enjoyed every second of it.

There is NO maintenance, and the Pools are disgusting.

BEWARE!!! Do not be fooled by the beautiful listing pics. The home is nothing like it in person. The house is very run down and in desperate need of a lot of maintenance. When we arrived the pool was dirty and the hot tub was not working. It was so bad our kids couldn't swim in it. Furthermore, the inside of the home is run down and dirty. There was hair in the bathroom shower, bugs in the home. Light bulbs in some of the bedrooms were burnt out. The entire home is very dusty, with cracked tile on the floors, broken door knobs, bedroom doors that don't close, one of the toilets didn't work, the dock was dangerous and one of our kids got hurt because of the wood in the dock was in some places standing up with screws and low maintained wood. Very disappointing. If you are looking for a nice place to stay then this is definitely NOT it! The house owner offered us a refund for 1 out of 4 nights, but it is certainly not enough to cover it. He came to try to fix it on our second day, but he failed to do so. Only on the 3rd day, he fixed the pool, but there was no circulation of water in the hot tub and very minimal circulation in the pools; VERY DANGEROUS!! All our kids got sick :( Pros: the neighborhood is awesome, and it is on the lake.

Great house and location

The house met all of my expectations. Location was outstanding and he you were easily able to dock a pontoon boat. The pool and lake were outstanding. Beautiful house and would highly recommend for anybody looking to rent out a large lake house. The recreation room was amazing and kept us very entertained at night.

Amazing USC Graduation Weekend

I cannot say enuff about the setting and the views, just stunning. The home is as advertised and very comfortable for our group of 9. The entire staff was attentive and helpful with any minor requests. Truly a professionally run group. All of the rooms and home were clean and plenty of towels provided. I would recommend this home highly, and we already have planned to comeback during football season. Ty to all of you at Yellowtail, the home made our daughter’s graduation a week to remember.

So disappointed. This house is great for the views and water front use only. The house itself felt vacant and dirty. Furniture was sparse and not in good shape. Game room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in months plus a broken window and only 3 pool sticks. Walls were dirty in the bathrooms and lacked towel racks. Powder room door off the kitchen did not lock. I could go on... The house was listed for 12 guests but only had beds for 10 with the only option for the additional 2 guests to sleep on the family room couch in the middle of the house with nothing but windows (hardly conducive for sleeping). I thought cots or a pull out would have at least been provided. Host was great and responsive until she wasn't. I emailed her directly with my complaints after our stay. I didn't expect anything back but she did send a nice email apologizing. After that, I did ask several times via email and phone about the extra guest fee and the fact I never received our security deposit back. She never responded back. I still have no explanation as to why we didn't receive back our security deposit. It was a low key stay with family and we left the house the same as we arrived. All in we were extremely disappointed in the house. And left on a bad note more so now after not even receiving back our security deposit. I love VRBO and have never had a bad experience. Hopefully this is the first and last.

Beautiful Home on Lake Murray!

The home is breathtaking when you walk in and see the gorgeous views of Lake Murray. It was clean and well appointed. We had many hours of fun in the game room. We rented a pontoon which was the highlight of our trip! We will definitely return.

AMAZING Lake Estate (Lake Murray, SC)

The best way to experience Lake Murray, SC. The Lake Estate property is spacious, open floor plan, big kitchen, dramatic ceiling. The home accommodated our family and the home features a BIG game room that the kiddos enjoyed. The home opens out to the pool that overlooks Lake Murray. ***Tranquility, Peaceful early morning setting!! Highly reccomend to sit out side while enjoying a cup of coffee to start your day!! The community is quiet and a perfect retreat for any family get a way!! The management team were responsive and always in communication with our inquiries. Thank YOU! Ms. Charisse, Mike, Dontrelle - We appreacite y’all. YASSS WE WILL BE BACK!!

Amazing house with incredible views!

We had a great time with friends in this stunning house. The weather was awful for end of may in the 50's with rain but we made the best of it. The pool house game room was a huge hit. the pool is stunning. we wished it could have been warmer to use it but overall would def come back and stay!!!

Amazing!

The home is beautiful and the outdoor views and the possible activity’s were awesome! My grandson & nephew enjoyed canoeing and my family enjoyed the pool & game room especially the pool table. At night the younger adults enjoyed the gas fire pit where the more mature adults enjoyed the wood fire pit, just beautiful in the evening.

Impressive Estate

This estate is by far the most spectacular home you will find on VRBO or any other rental site in the Columbia area. The views of the lake are breathtaking. The home is a regal piece of art, each room perfectly decorated, adorned with quality furniture and artwork that complements the architecture. There is a casita that has various games for you to enjoy or you can soak in the sun while enjoying a dip in the pool. If dealing with any of the hosts, Dontrelle is the one you want to connect with. He is quick to respond, courteous, and never acted like the few small challenges we incurred were our fault, because they were not. My feedback is once the renter enters the estate, the pool guy or groundskeepers should never show up for any reason that is not communicated with the renter. There is an expectation of privacy that should be respected during the occupants stay and cleaning the pool should be a priority before any renters arrive. Still, this unexpected occurrence is not enough to highly recommend this estate. Dontrelle is an effective communicator who wants you to feel at home and the estate is deserving of all five stars without question. We hope to be welcomed back again.
