Utterly Disgusting!!!
I thought I was booking a quaint house with a lot of charm. Unfortunately, the pictures that are posted do not show you the amount of personal âstuffâ the host has lying around. I think he lives there most of the time, which is fine, but he should remove his personal things and have it cleaned properly so the renters are able to use it without feeling like they are in someoneâs house that is currently being occupied. The stench that permeated throughout the house (especially the kitchen) was unbearable. The fridge was dirty and had food in it. I pulled the disgusting wastebasket from under the kitchen sink because I figured we would use it often and didnât want to keep opening and closing the cabinet door (which was not easy to open and shut), and there was what looked like major water damage under the sink. The downstairs toilet was so disgusting to sit on, it was obvious that it wasnât cleaned in a timely manner after usage because the front of the seat was black. The bathtub had mold around the entire edge between the tub and wall and hair still in the tub. The upstairs bathroom toilet was just as disgusting with the same black grime on the front of the toilet seat. The shower pan was dark with grime and soap scum, and the tiles were full of mold. And there was hair as well. The sink had a pinkish/reddish ring and was full of tiny hair everywhere (including on the faucet and handles). It looked like someone shaved their beard and left it all over the place. So gross!!! All of the light switches had grime on them. I walked around and started to wipe them with a Clorox wipe and finally gave up because I left like I couldnât stay here any longer.
We decided that we couldnât stay there and ended up checking into a hotel. I contacted Kevin the next day and asked for half of my money and he said, âIâm sorry the house wasnât up to your standards but it was cleaned by me as it was for all prior reservations. We are going to have to agree to disagree.â He is correct when he said that it wasnât up to my standards. I did take pictures of everything I described here as proof. Do not stay at this house unless you have absolutely no standards!!!
