We booked this unit specifically because it was listed at Kuilima Dr, in the same complex as our family. However, the host, Vanessa, gave us a completely different address miles away on South Golf Course Road. This was a blatant misrepresentation. We were traveling with young children and proximity was critical. The last-minute location change was unacceptable and disruptive.We spent over an hour on the phone with Vanessa trying to find the property. She was slurring her words, incoherent, and appeared intoxicated, making the situation even more stressful after a long day of travel. Once we arrived, the condition of the unit was appalling. The master bathroom toilet was full of human waste and did not flush, making the area reek. The sheets were clearly unwashed, towels were filthy, dishes were dirty, and the entire unit was grimy. We had to wash everything ourselves just to make it livable. We wore slippers to shower due to how unsanitary it was.I sent multiple texts and emails to Vanessa throughout our stay and received no response whatsoever. This property was not only misrepresented, it was unsafe and unhygienic. We spent our own time and money cleaning instead of relaxing. This was a clear breach of contract and an unacceptable experience.She said she was âout of the country.â Unacceptable. Avoid this woman and all her rentals at all costs. I have been in contact with VRBO and expect resolution soon. Iâve never had an experience like this.
