My family really enjoyed the time at Bearâs Den. The beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked to the hilt (pots/pans/plates/bowls/cooking utensils/spices/etc). Communication with the host was very helpful and easy. Check in/Check out procedures were very simple and concise.Would definitely recommend this property - especially if you are heading to Ski Cooper.
This cabin was beautiful. The views of the frozen lake WOW! It was so close the ski resort we were able to come back and relax eat and head back up in no time at all. Only issue we had was the driveway is at a slope and was iced over. We didnât notice and when leaving we couldnât stop and slid into a snowbank and that in an SUV. Did some damage but nothing major. Just something to be aware of. And we are from Iowa so ice and snow is nothing new to us.
Just outstanding. We used this wonderful house for a ski vacation at Skin Cooper. Perfect location, beautiful property, and the best fireplace ever. Genuinely amazing.
The vacation rental was the perfect family-friendly spot with breathtaking lake views and wildlife from the balcony. Attention to comfort and everything was in order for our arrival. The host thoughtfully provided games making the stay memorable.
Highly recommend!
Our family loved the decor, cleanliness, location, grill, location, owners and realty company. Very attentive to all our needs and we felt right at home there. No disappointments at all!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear's Den. It exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect spot for our family. Love the open kitchen and living room, with a view over the lake. I could imagine enjoying this in any season. We'll be back!
Down stairs bed needs new mattress, sags in middle and stained. Killed spiders in both bathrooms and cleaned spider webs. Probably hadn't been rented recently.
The property and location were great! The view was outstanding and more than we expected! The centralized location allowed for a few excursions as well as some good hiking. The pillows could use and upgrade, though. Overall, we had a wonderful time.
This was just what the doctor ordered! Privacy, quiet, and clean air. A beautiful log cabin home next to an alpine lake. Plenty of room for everybody (3 queen beds, two twins, and a pullout couch). 1/2 hour to drive to Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive trailheads. Gorgeous view of the snow-capped mountains. Decorated with cute little accents. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals - including spices! Laundry room on main floor. The well water was cold and tasted great.
Just a note to anybody reading this. Water DOES in fact, boil more quickly at higher elevations. The stove is one of those induction top type stoves, so watch what you're cooking to avoid spillovers. the old adage "a watched pot never boils" isn't true at 10,000 feet! Bring mosquito spray if you are going in the spring or summer - the lake is gorgeous, but nature does have it's little joy suckers.
We are hoping to return again next year to climb some more mountains.
