We had a great stay at Esquina. Not total experience/amenities of a full hotel, but just enough. Great location to walk to must see spots and public transportation. Despite it being a busy area, it was very quiet and comfortable. Very clean, and service provided things when we needed them. Private bathroom with sink in the main room. No shower curtain on the shower stall made it difficult not to get the whole bathroom floor soaked, but otherwise nice shower. Nice balcony doors to overlook the street. Thanks for the complimentary wine!

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel! The location was perfect. Close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and transportation. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. They truly went above and beyond to make me feel at home. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The hotel itself was spotless and beautifully renovated, with a fresh, modern feel while still keeping that Lisbon charm. It made my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Super super convenient location. Right in the heart of the city. Nice places to eat around the hotel. Charming rooms - they aren't massive but will fit a few cabin bags. Tip. The street the hotel is on is a one way system. Might be easier to take an uber/taxi from the main road.

This is a decent 3 star at best, not a 4 star by any means. Room was basic, no services and elevator only started from one floor up. I have stayed in many hotels throughout Europe and this one might be equivalent to some 3 star hotels. Don’t think I would stay again, not good value

Amazing location for Lisbon

Amazing location, this hotel exceeded our expectations massively! The room was huge and the beds we very comfy. The staff were all really friendly and it was a 12pm check out as standard which we appreciated.

This is a lodge not a hotel. No lobby or any other amenities. The rooms are small, but useful. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept. The location is 5 star. Oh yes, the elevator stops on the floor above the entrance. You must carry your luggage one flight up. It's a beautiful but very old building. Yes I would stay again

We enjoyed our stay at Esqina, the room was small but clean and perfectly suited our needs. We felt safe while staying here and I would recommended it to anyone that’s looking for a place to rest their heads without needing all the frills and amenities of a larger hotel. It’s also very central to the different places in Lisbon that you’d want to go.

We had an amazing stay here, the hotel has been mainly renovated, I believe they are still working on an upper floor, but that didn't affect us at all. The room was very clean, the shower was huge with a window in it. We had two other windows that opened right up, one had a bench and the views where amazing. The location for exploring Lisbon couldn't be better and the prices were very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This property is in a great location. However, it takes minimalism to a whole new level. My room was so small that I could not open my suitcase and walk in the room at the same time. And there was no closet or drawers or any way to really unpack the suitcase. It is in a busy area so it is quite loud until about midnight. I felt like it was overpriced for what it was. That being said, it was a clean and adequate and they did provide me with a small bottle of wine and some pastries, which was nice. There is no kettle or coffee in the room (or even in the lobby), so I would’ve preferred that over the wine.

The property is a great location and very clean. I was a little shocked by the size of the room. The bathroom is very small and faces the bed with a pocket door. The room is slightly bigger than than the bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Title: Terrible Experience – This Should Not Be Rated as a 4-Star Hotel Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I deeply regret booking this hotel through Expedia. It was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had. The bathroom had a constant foul smell that was never addressed. The bottled water provided was visibly dirty, which is simply unacceptable. The room had broken fixtures and was in poor condition overall. The area around the hotel felt unsafe, with people loitering and begging outside day and night. I felt so uncomfortable and concerned for my safety that I checked out a full day early — at my own expense. To make matters worse, despite raising these issues, the hotel denied everything and claimed I never said a word during my stay — which is completely untrue. They took no responsibility, and Expedia’s support, while polite, was ultimately limited in resolving the issue. This hotel is currently listed as four stars, which is extremely misleading. In reality, it barely deserves two. I urge Expedia to re-evaluate this listing, and I strongly advise fellow travelers to stay away from this property.

Property is perfectly located to visit all the sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights. The weather was such that we had the window open for fresh air and it does get noisy, but that is the be expected on a busy tourist street. Once the window was closed, it was very quiet. The bathroom area is small, but worked fine for 2 people. The key code for the doors is nice so you don't have to keep up with a key.
