The room was fantastic. We ate breakfast at the restaurant once, it was buffet style and had lots of options. The hotel was located in a beautiful spot, and was easy to walk around. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at Aurea Museum Hotel. All of the staff was wonderful. Carolina went out of her way to help us and work with us. Location was great, next to a lot of restaurants in Alfama. Definitely a great place to stay.

Nice hotel with a convenient location a few blocks from commerce square. Excellent bedding and decent room size. Great breakfast buffet, amazing. But Water pressure of the shower is way too weak (and technician who came twice could not make a difference) and the drain, way too slow. This is cheap. This hotel has everything to be a 5 star - including a hefty price - but it is definitely not. Room service is done on trays (even for two people ordering) and spoon/salt n pepper/napkins… missing! Food was good though.The spa needs attention: hammam not working at all during the whole week stay, dry sauna working but with water remaining on the floor (!). Massage was good but too expensive too for what it was. In essence, helpful professional staff but a decent 4 star hotel with good location that requires management closer supervision, optimization of premises and equipment and services, to be up to the price requested. I don’t mind paying when well deserved but here Too expensive for what it actually delivers.

We had a great stay at the Aurea Museum Hotel. It is in a great location and our balcony sea view room was modern, spacious and had a great balcony. There was no shade (awning or umbrella) and given that it was south facing it was very hot throughout the day - so unfortunately we didn’t use it much. The gym was pretty well equipped- an internal room with only a couple of high windows but quite spacious for this part of the world. The hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed staying at Aurea Museum for our honeymoon this week! The museum & tour is really good and definitely worth doing whilst you’re staying! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly- the breakfast was also great! As for location, we think it’s perfect for a lot of old town exploring with most attractions being 15/20mins walk max! Will definitely be recommending to everyone and looking to stay again!

Áurea Museum has a very convenient location at the Alfama close to Cathedral, Praça de Comércio and Sao Jorge Castle. It is very quiet at night, staff provides excellent service
