The rooms are not renovated and even with the ac on it was abit hot. They can’t do much as the building is old Staff was fantastic We had prob w the water draining while showering as well

5 Stars 🌟 to Nelson

Absolutely lovely hotel with wonderful friendly staff all round. I did find the cleaning of the rooms slacking as the floors were barely sweeped. Rooms are small and the bathroom is tiny. Lack of vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast AND not labelled Veg, Vegan etc etc. The national pastry of Portugal the Nata was barely at the breakfast table we had to keep asking for it. Fried eggs we had to ask for, this should all be available. Breakfast plates far too small and the juice glasses are tiny. Come on HF Fenix Lisboa management sort it out. Finally, a special mention to NELSON, what an amazing man who clearly loves his job and the guests he serves. I have never seen such an amazing and beautiful person who cares so much for people who is very genuine as a person. Nelson deseves a huge payrise. He even addressed us with Namaste, which means hello and greetings in Gujarati. Amazing individual 👏

Everything was as expected. Room was large enough for three people to not feel on top of each other. Restaurant on site was nice and McDonald's is located a few doors down from the hotel which is convenient for those with children. Be careful if you will be parking a car as the garage is one lane into and out of and is very narrow. Overall a pleasant stay.

The actual bedroom was a good size & well laid out, but the bathroom was just too small with an old bathtub & an adjustable shower head. The powdered coffee sachets in the room were not of a particularly good standard. I was disappointed not to be told about a planned event very near to the hotel on one night that had loud banging music on until 04.00. To compound this, police used the hotel to presumably oversee the event and were audibly going up & down the corridor directly outside of my room until 06.00. I was also unable to take public transport to return back to the hotel because of metro station closures. Surely customers booked into the hotel should have at least been told about such an event about to take place.

Very nice hotel that included a wonderful breakfast buffet. Had at lovely view of the Marques de Pombal and surrounding park from our room. The area around the hotel was busy and vibrant with easy access to transportation of all kinds.

When we arrived, we were greeted well by the front desk. The young man that showed us to our room was exceptionally sweet and nice. Unfortunately I did not get his name, but he greeted us every morning. In the restaurant, Nelson became one of my favorite waiters there. He was always so energetic and full of life and positive energy. During the last two days of our nine day stay, I was sick and Nelson brought over a special tea his grandmother would make and even brought me an extra to go. The hotel doesn’t offer too many towels and despite asking three days in a row, we did not receive extra towels. We finally stopped someone in the hallway and she was able to accommodate us. Same with the in room coffee service. It was good. It was just you had to ask the right person for additional regular coffee and cream. Overall, it was in a nice section of town and we were able to walk around easily, or take an Uber if we were feeling particularly tired. Lisbon is a beautiful city and we would go there again!!
