Property was ok, breakfast was very good. Stayed 2 nights, housekeeping didn’t attend at all after our st night so no top up of tea/coffee etc. Room was on 1st floor which may have been why there was a constant odour of blocked drains the whole stay, possibly because we were at the lower end of the waste pipe runs from all the rooms on floors above? Good location for DLR and for access to Greenwich area.

Best choice in the area

Our go to hotel in the Greenwich, Peckham area. Efficient, clean and comfortable. Nice rooms, and quiet. Staff very helpful. Food options in the hotel limited as the restaurant is not always open. No outside eating or drinking space.

Could be amazing but it's not

Poor check-in Insisting on a £50 "damage deposit" is very down market practice a reflects their management poorly. Decor in common space and rooms are quite dated and tatty. Paint damaged, grotty carpet in room. Sheets are nice but mattress was very tired, well used and needs to be replaced. Someone tying my door at night was frightening. The mind boggles.

The room - 101- was adequate but the window was small & too high to provide a view. There was noise overnight from the lift & water waste down pipe. The restaurant was closed as it is the quiet season - Aug?

The pros: DoubleTree Greenwich graciously squeezed an order for wings in for us right as (or after) the kitchen was to close on the night we arrived. The restaurant was lovely for a sit-down meal the next day. And that extra pair of cookies -- it is a DoubleTree! -- hit the spot. The facilities were clean and comfortable throughout, too. The hotel, though, loses a star for two reasons: One, we had specifically reserved a queen and got a double. (We were too tired after our arrival and those wings to notice the first night.) Two, the path to the hotel from public transit from the south is a bit dodgy at night; there's nothing DoubleTree can do about that, I know, but it is a reality. If you're going to stay there -- and I'd recommend the place -- try to come in from the north.
