Easy living in London for family of 5 Americans

Great location. Functional kitchen and nearby grocery store, so ate in for breakfast and dinner. Couch needs replacing. Other furniture was old but fit with overall decor. Bathroom was nice. Beds were comfortable. Brought up a cot so slept family of 5 with three elementary aged kids easily. Safe neighborhood 2 blocks from Sloan square and the tube. 3 blocks from harrods. Walking distance to natural history museum and a few other notable museums.

Beautiful, relaxing environment..

Great hotel, very relaxing and quiet, looks out over lovely garden. Drawbacks.. Flimsy, Glass topped coffee table in living room not child safe, hotel only has one key to community garden, so if another guest uses it your out of luck. And the pool that is advertised is at a local health centre, not on the premises.

New London visit

The Hotel changed my sight of London. Durley was cute and clean. Quiet and lowely neighbourhoood, near by the puls of London. So different of my earlier visits to London. This time I was in London with my mom and my sister. Staying in this perfect Hotel was a happy and great vacation. If you past your club years (17-28) I can highly recommend Durley House.

Satisfied in Sloane Square

Lovely hotel between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge tube stations across from a small park. Had a spacious two-bedroom suite with separate kitchen and living room. Tastefully decorated, comfortable, helpful staff. They offer breakfast for a charge, but we stocked our kitchen with breakfast foods instead. Were quick to respond to some problems we had with bathroom and took care of them right away. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Love it.

We are a family of 5 - including 3 young children. But love London and have not been for a while. This hotel provided everything we needed to get the most of our visit. Can't wait to go back. HIghly recommended.

Roomy and Convenient

The accommodations were very spacious with separate living room, bedroom and kitchen room. The furnishings, though not modern-looking, were classically elegant and functional. Location is very quiet yet easy walk to Sloane Square tube station and bus lines. There are very few restaurants or pubs within walking distance but plenty of expensive shops in the area. The free wi-fi works less than half the time. Staff friendly and helpful with great fresh fruit always provided in basket near front desk. Overall a spacious and gracious place to stay in Chelsea.

First thing n very important, be aware, no water mixture at the wash basin, separate hot n cold tabs. 2 days notice for checkout !. old but clean furnature. semi equipped kitchen with old cabinets and without a dish washer or washing machine.no self laundry in house. charging 15 Pounds per full laundry bag. good location, on main road, bit noisy. opposite garden. about 10 min walk to nearst supermarkert. friendly and cooperative staff. ,

We enjoyed our stay at Durley House!

We ended up at Durley House by pure chance and did not regret it.! Nice and helpful staff, lovely (although somewhat worn) rooms and excellent location.

La Durley House, situata nel cuore di Chelsea con Sloane Square a cento metri, Ăš un angolo di paradiso. Per chi ama le atmosfere vittoriane e rifugge i grandi hotel chiassosi la Durley House Ăš l'hotel ideale. Ha solo 11 suite dotate di salone cucina e comodissime camere da letto. La sera il personale prepara il letto lasciando sempre frutta fresca ed ogni mattino consegnano giornali inglesi. PiĂč che un albergo per turisti Ăš una residenza temporanea per visitatori appassionati. Dopo una serata a teatro o un'ottima cena fuori non c'Ăš niente di piĂč piacevole che tornare nella propria suite sentendosi a casa propria. Ho viaggiato con i miei bambini di 10 e 8 anni che sono rimasti incantati dal posto e dalla gentilezza del personale.. Per chi ama i musei il Victoria and Albert Museum e il museo di storia naturale sono molto vicini, per gli amanti dello shopping Londinese King's Road Ăš letteralmente dietro l'angolo e tutte le piĂč importanti boutique sono in fondo alla via. Harrods Ăš sempre a due passi. L'albergo Ăš anche molto vicino alla Piccadilly Line che consente di arrivare a Heatrow in 45 minuti. Per farla breve la Durley House contribuira senza dubbio a rendere ogni soggiorno londinese speciale ed indimenticabile ma non posso negare che si addica soprattutto a persone non soggette a mode ma amanti del buon gusto e dell'intramontabile stile inglese.

Hotellet ligger sentralt med flotte butikker og spiesteder i umiddelbar nÊrhet. PÄ hotellet er man uforstyrret og kan vÊre privat. Roomservicen er upÄklagelig og hver gang man forlot rommet ble det ryddet. Detaljer ble fra hotellets side lagt merke til, - som at det ble satt fram vinglass dersom de sÄ at vi hadde med vin. Frokosten ble dekket og servert pÄ rommet, og ogsÄ her ble det lagt merke til at jeg f.eks ikke spiste alt som ble servert, og ble derfor spurt neste morgen om jeg ville ha en substitutt til det jeg ikke likte. Betjeningen var vennlig og serviceminded. Spisesteder i umiddelbar nÊrhet som sushi pÄ Harvey Nichols og den utsÞkte Amaya (indisk) pÄ Motcomb street. Hotellet gjÞr reservasjoner pÄ restauranter, om en Þnsker det. Royal Albert Hall ligger i gangavstand til hotellet.

Durley Housen huoneistot ovat tilavia ja hyvÀllÀ maulla sisutetut mutta pieni pÀivitys olisi paikallaan. Kokolattiamatot ovat nuhjuisia ja sohvissa vanhoja tahroja. LisÀksi hotellissa ei ollut minkÀÀnlaisia julkisia tiloja kuten ravintolaa tai aamiaishuonetta. Muutoin ihan kiva ja henkilökunta oli todella ystÀvÀllistÀ.

Durley Hotel

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Durley Hotel very much. I was unsure as to what to expect after reading some mixed reviews on your site. The hotel was perfect for us, we had a two bedroom suite and this included a kitchen. Every night some treat would be brought with our turn down service. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and polite and made several arrangements for us. I preferred this set up to an apartment because there was always someone at the front desk. The location of the hotel is fantastic, it is on Sloane Street in Knightbridge, very convenient to shopping and many restaurants.

Lovely sanctuary in London

Amazingly quiet and cool hotel in the midst of a heatwave in London. The hotel was full, yet we never heard the other guests. Excellent food. Location ideal. Will definitely go again and stay longer.
