Welcome to The Grove, your ideal retreat in Marion, Illinois! Located at the west end of Marion, nestled in a serene wooded area, this cabin offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience, being just under 5 minutes from the new Oasis Sports Complex and Kokopelli Golf Course, situated in the heart of Marion. The Grove is also less than 5 minutes away from Herrin, a neighboring town. SIU University is also less than a 20 minute drive, making this location perfect for our guests!

Accommodating up to six guests, The Grove features three cozy bedrooms, including two twin beds, a queen bed, and a king bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for families or couples looking to unwind. Each bedroom is thoughtfully equipped with a smart TV and ceiling fans for your convenience.

After a day of exploring, come back to relax in this peaceful setting. Enjoy the nearby Kokopelli Golf Course and the new Oasis Sports Complex (opening in the summer of 2025), both just minutes away. You'll also find a variety of dining options in the area, making it easy to sample the local flavors. Embrace the best of both worlds at The Grove—your home away from home!

The Grove is located on our families farmland. You may see us from time to time, bailing hay or working on the property to ensure it's in top shape. We are very careful not to disturb our guests and allow them to fully enjoy their stay!

Important Tips Before Your Stay

A set up package of 4 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, 4 dishwasher pods, and 4 Free and Clear laundry pods are provided for each booking. All sheets, blankets, comforters, pillowcases, and throw blankets are laundered with free and clear laundry detergent. All items, used or unused, are laundered every time the home is rented.

Once your booking is accepted, we will send you a short-term rental agreement that is to be reviewed and signed within 24 hours of your accepted reservation. It is the renter's responsibility to ensure that all guests abide by the house polices outlined in the agreement.

The Grove has a strict no-smoking and vaping policy inside the home, on the porches, and near the home. There is a designated smoking location under the carport with a receptacle. The home is made of cedar, which easily soaks in smells, making future non-smoking guests' stays unpleasant. If you or your guests smoke or vape, there are several homes in the area with more lax smoking policies. Thank you.

This was our second stay at this wonderful cabin in Marion, Illinois, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The space is incredibly spacious, and we loved the wraparound porch, perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The fire pit was a big highlight, where we made s’mores with the kids. The Blackstone griddle was fantastic, and the piano added a charming touch. The hostess provided everything we needed - pots, pans, cookware, crock pots, blenders, and all the amenities you could ask for. She even left balloons for a graduation we were celebrating, making it so personal. This truly felt like a home away from home. We will absolutely continue to visit every time we travel to the area. Highly recommend!

I’ll begin by saying that this is by far one of the best rental experiences I’ve ever had. The hospitality and communication with the host was incredible! The extra “touches” of pride taken by them in their property were extremely impressive. Their precious daughter even left us welcoming basket with snacks and a beautiful little note. We were in town to seek housing for my son who is beginning medical school nearby. I have already decided that this will be my “go-to” residence when I’m in southern Illinois to visit! What a fantastic place to call “home” for the week. The location was central to all of my family locally and the driveway was big enough to fit their trucks! The yard had ample space for my nieces and nephews to play games. The wildlife in the field out back was a bonus! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we can’t wait to come back!

The cabin is beautiful and spacious. The location is quiet and serene in a woodsy environment. The owners of the property are very nice. The check-in process was easy and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had a 3 and 4 year old and the owners left us a gift of s’mores to make for kids out by the fire pit. It was a big hit with the children. I would highly recommend this location.

Beautiful!! This house is tucked back in the woods on a beautiful piece of property. The outside of the house is very warm and inviting. The inside is exactly as the photos on the website. It is beautiful inside. Everything was very clean. They provided everything a person would need or if they forgot to bring. The check in process was very easy. Melissa, was extremely easy to work with during our booking, checking in and checking out. The location is close to town. We will definitely book again!!
