Smoky Mountain Retreat Cabin is a rural escape hidden away in the quiet corners of Metchosin. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio surrounded by the peacefulness of nature with views of the Pacific Ocean and the snow capped Olympic Mountains in the distance. Spend your days adventuring to nearby lakes & ocean beaches and hiking & biking local trails . Upon your return home relax the night away in the hydrotherapeutic hot tub under the stars.
This quaint cabin was built by the owner with the mindset of being as environmentally conscious and complimentary to the natural surroundings as possible.
It is important to know before booking that we co-exist with nature and animals in our space. We run a small bee farm here, Smoky Mountain Apiary (with bees currently off site for the summer) but fresh honey to taste upon arrival!
If you are bringing your pet(s) please let us know upon booking. We also have two family dogs that live on the property and want to be considerate of all the doggy personalities so everyone is safe & comfortable.
The cabin and hot tub are private spaces just for those renting. They are not shared with owners or any other guests.
The best way to reach us is to txt although usually someone will be home to chat if you have any questions or concerns.

Within minutes of your stay there are great hiking trails, ocean and lake beaches, the Galloping Goose trail, and boat/kayak rentals. This sweet little town has a few food establishments, many side-of-the-road farmers stands that sell veggies, eggs, flowers and baked goods. We pride ourselves on being honest, hard-working, community-minded people always willing to help a neighbour.
A personal vehicle is needed to get around Metchosin.
This cabin has modification abilities to be wheelchair accessible with ramps for entrance and patio, hand-held shower wand & tub seat, as well as appropriate door widths. Please contact hosts for more information.
