Caribou Lodge and Motel
"Okay, I won’t lie, I was a bit scared when I pulled into the driveway. The exterior is poorly rundown. I thought oh dear God, Bates Motel! But then I went in. The lobby was pleasant and the staff very sweet. Wish the ice machine was working…anyway. I didn’t read that the room I had was in the basement, nor that the three bathrooms downstairs were shared bathrooms. I almost reconsidered staying there but it was late and I didn’t have many other options. I was pleasantly surprised by my room. It was very clean, had a small fridge, a space heater and a box fan, no A/C but the room was cool. The bathrooms were spacious and had a huge walk-in shower. The basement turned out to be just fine. I imagine it is like a hostel? Not that I really ever plan on going to Soda Springs again, but I’d possibly stay there again. It was all an adventure. The Soda Springs Geyser was incredible!"
