Typical apartment in Ostuni style located in the heart of the historic center, with a wonderful terrace and view over the White City.
Guests will access the apartment, located on the first floor, walking up a stone staircase. The space in Terrazza Blu Cobalto is limited yet well organised and characterised by white walls and stonework elements that mirror the environment in which the accommodation is situated. It consists of a kitchen with an induction hob and well equipped, provided with a small table with chairs. The bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed and provided also with a flat-screen TV. Finally, a practical bathroom with shower completes the apartment.
From the kitchen guests will have access, through some very narrow stairs, to the upper floor terrace, where there is a lovely outdoor bathtub from which they can enjoy a stunning panorama and a stone double bed with a covered veranda.
The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parking and enjoying the old town on foot.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Ostuni, known to the world as the White City, is the pearl of the Itria Valley. Its blindingly white, immense historic center culminates in the Cathedral (600 meters from the apartment) that soars over the plain of olive trees, the coastal dune park and a crystal-clear sea. Characteristic are its narrow streets, the Piazza della LibertĂ (5 minutes away) and the column of St. Oronzo that majestically protects the town.
Its countryside stretches into the heart of the Itria Valley. A few kilometers away is Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and enogastronomy; Cisternino, a village recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy; and Alberobello, whose famous trulli have been a world heritage site since 1996. About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnatia, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with a charming historic center and beautiful beaches. To the north (80 km) we find Bari, the gateway to the East, while proceeding south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving westward there is Taranto, heart of Magna Graecia, and finally to Matera, characteristic for its sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.
The airports of Brindisi (30 minutes) and Bari (60 minutes) are the closest to the accommodation.
A hidden jewel, smashing terrasse view but forget the roof bathtub
Great location. V. close to 2 of the best local town restaurants, but the noise is very reasonable.
Amazing terrasse view.
The bathtub on the terrasse is a bit of a joke. The hot water balloon is not big enough to fill 1/4 of it, unless you like cold water.
