Beautiful Trullo Villa with private saltwater pool and large enclosed garden

Less than an hour's drive from both Bari and Brindisi airport, is our wonderfully comfortable newly renovated family home. It is a 100 year old Trullo Villa in the Unesco World Heritage area of Valle d’Itria and the house has thick stone walls that keep the heat out in the summer.
In the summer of 2018 a new saltwater swimming pool (40 m2) was installed with a spacious terrace around it and an outdoor shower.
The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, new kitchen with all amenities, spacious living room with a dining area and a sitting area. The house has a large covered terrace by the kitchen, patio by the living room, nice places in the garden to hang out in the hammock or to relax in a sun lounger. Next to the house and the courtyard is a garage with the outdoor kitchen and pizza oven,
The beach is only a 15 minute drive to Capitolo or to Torre Canne with many beautiful beach bars or public beach. There is an endless amount to do !! Or if you feel like it: nothing at all ;-)
The final cleaning is not yet included in the rent and must be settled in cash directly on arrival with the housekeeper: 50 euros to 4 people, and 80 euros to 8 people.
Bed linen and 1 towel per person are included.

A very comfortable Trulli home.

The owner was very helpful giving us lots of pins on the map to find everything we needed. The salt water pool is fabulous and the garden is beautiful. It was a very relaxing holiday. We especially enjoyed tasting wine in the vineyard of Locorotundo whilst looking out over the valley at sunset.

A Puglian dream for a multi-generational family

We stayed in Mauds beautiful trullo for a week in late June with two young children and my elderly mother. The house was well equipped both inside and out and Maud is a fantastic and responsive host. The gardens are stunning and we ate all our meals (including a bbq one night) outside enjoying the beautiful views. The pool is a godsend and we used it abundantly. Theres a great supermarket 2 mins away and the town is a 5 minute drive. Puglia and Locorotondo charmed us all, we can’t wait to come back.

We loved the pool after a morning exploring nearby towns. It was very well equipped, clean and the air con was great too. Maud was absolutely brilliant in her communication and was on hand with her advice when we were deciding whether to hire a car or not. We did in the end and were glad about it as we could be much more flexible with our days out. The internet was a bit slow occasionally but that was to be expected in the countryside. Overall a fabulous holiday.

We enjoined our 2 weeks holiday in the beautiful house, garden and pool. The house was clean and big enough for my family and the parents in law. The garden and pool are great and it was nice to spend time at the terrace, having a BBQ or a pizza from the pizza oven. Maude the landlord was very nice and took care of all our questions. Overall we had a great time and maybe will come back sometimes.

Wonderful stay at Trulli Maud

There was four of us and we had a wonderful stay at Trulli Maud for 6 nights. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had wonderful weather which allowed us to spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying the pool area and the garden. We ate all our meals on the patio. The house was centrally located to many sites including Matera which we made a day trip to. It was an easy walk to Loccorotondo where we had some very good meals and the best gelato overlooking the valley. Maud was easily accessible throughout our stay. I highly recommend Trulli Maud!

Wonderful house in a beautiful location

This house has everything you would want when visiting this incredible region. Staying in genuine Tullo, set in a large Olive grove with a beautiful swimming pool ticks every box! The house is within 15 minutes stroll of the centre of enchanting Locorotondo, with a host of restaurants and cafes. The garden has many lovely features, different places to sit and relax during the day and evening; a genuine pizza oven, which we loved! The house inside is well appointed with all the necessary facilities; Maud is a fantastic host, communicates quickly and thoroughly, and was able to solve minor issues without any fuss. I can't think that you would find a better solution if you were visiting this area.

Gorgeous week in October

We consider ourselves very lucky for choosing the right time and place. Trulli of Valle d’Itria make you feel being in a fairy tale and here you are living in one. Olive trees surrounding the house also add to the atmosphere. House is spacious enough with generous living/dining area and compact but functional kitchen. The pool is a big bonus. We used it even in October although it was refreshing to say mildly. Location of the house is perfect for exploring neighboring white towns and more distant Polignano a Mare ( 30 min), Grotaglie or Taranto(40 min), Matera (1.20 hours). My only regret is that with so many things to see we didn’t have time to make our own pizza in the outdoor pizza oven :)

Amazing find!

I can’t speak highly enough of this beautiful home and its wonderful owner, Maud. She made sure that we had everything we needed and was always quick to respond to our questions. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible stay. Outside, the garden was beautiful and the pool was divine! We dined outdoors most days. The location was quiet, but close enough to Locorotondo so that everything needed was nearby. We found this to be the perfect home base for exploring Puglia. The inside was full of charm, thoughtful design, and modern conveniences. We appreciated the AC in the evenings and having a dishwasher was really nice since we often dined in. The beds were comfortable and the place felt very spacious for our group of 5. Hoping to stay again!! Thank you, Maud!

Beautiful Trulli....the best place!

We had the most fantastic week in Locorotondo staying at Trullo Maudi. The house is magnificent and has everything you could wish for. The garden and pool are beautiful. The pool is so nice to swim in and even though it was still a little cold we really appreciated the water which was so much nicer than chlorinated pools. The garden is very private and spacious and we really enjoyed it all. Comfy beds, nice bbq, lots of great outdoor seating areas, this place has it all. It is easy to walk into locorotondo and we did so every day we least once. There is an excellent bakery only few hundred meters from the house where we had lots of nice coffee and pastries. Nice restaurants close by and good options for takeaway as well. Maud is fantastic host and was very helpful and communicative throughout our stay. Cant recommended this place enough, we hope to return. Thanks Maud x

Caring owner and beautiful home

Maud is exactly the type of owner you want to deal with. Communicates, cares, responds quickly if needed and assists in every aspect of vacationing in the area. We would love to return. It’s obvious that she has put a lot of effort and concern of the restoration of the property. Work was done beautifully. Exactly how I would like to see it. The grounds are very well maintained and quite expansive ( larger than you expect). We loved the “trullo” structure and although the interior is perfect, the ability use the outside living accommodations was perfect. Very peaceful and relaxing. Locorotondo is a gem. Restaurants are plentiful and some excellent ones. The town has all you need and the residents are very, very friendly. Even for non Italian speaking tourists. The proximity to the sea and other towns of interest made for short trips by car (1/2 hour or less). If we head back to the region we will definitely be in contact with Maud. You won’t regret staying at her beautiful vacation home.

Superb relaxing getaway!

The villa is absolutely sensational, a great mix of traditional and modern. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, bathrooms and showers clean and contemporary. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, cutlery, plates and dishes you may need. Even though the July temperatures were around 35C, the inside of the villa remained cool - we did not need to use the AC in the bedrooms. The gardens are huge, with olive trees and shrubs surrounding an absolutely marvellous swimming pool that was used more or less constantly! It’s a 15 minute walk into Locorotondo town, featuring a beautiful car-free old section with many great restaurants, cafes and bars. The nearby towns of Alberobello, Martina Franca and Cisternino all definitely worth a visit, being less than half an hour’s drive. It’s also only around 30 minutes to the sea, with some lovely beaches. Maud is a superb host, answering any questions we had instantly and leaving many recommendations to enhance our stay. All in all, highly recommended for a relaxing, but interesting family holiday. During our 11 day stay, we honestly can’t think of anything that could have made our holiday better - apart from an extra week!

Une villa vraiment très bien.Très bien située pour visiter la région des Pouilles.La partie piscine est bien entretenue, le sol n est pas glissant. Depuis la terrasse, on peut facilement surveiller les (grands) enfants.La partie cuisine est bien, on y trouve tout le nécessaire pour préparer des repas pour la famille. Taille de frigo ok.Les chambres et les espaces intérieurs sont décorés avec goût. Très belle villa à 15 minutes à pieds du centre de Locorotondo

Nous avons passé, en famille, 15 jours en aout dans cette très belle Villa. La villa est très bien entretenue. Elle est située dans un endroit calme entourée d'un très beau jardin rempli d'oliviers et de quelques figuiers. La piscine est très grande. La villa comprend 3 belles chambres avec la climatisation et 2 salles de bain. La cuisine donne sur une terrasse ombragée avec vue sur la piscine. Les photos sont conformes à la maison que vous allez trouver. Vous pouvez garer votre voiture dans le terrain. La propriétaire Maud est très réactive et vous transmet toutes les informations nécessaires. Cette villa est située à 15 minutes à pieds de Locorotondo qui est un magnifique village avec toutes les commodités (Très bons restaurants, bars, commerces ...) et très dynamique l'été. La maison se située à 15 minutes en voiture de très beaux villages comme Alberobello ou Martina Franca et à 30 minutes de Polignano A mare. Cette villa est l'endroit idéal pour visiter les pouilles du sud et se reposer. Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances ! Je vous recommande vivement cette location.

Une maison très confortable pour un groupe

Un jardin étendu et fermé comme annoncé par la propriétaire, un lieu appréciable. La maison est bien adaptée pour 6 personnes sans se marcher dessus. Les ustensiles de cuisine sont un peu limités mais le reste de l'équipement est au top. Un emplacement idéal pour une visite des Pouilles.

Exceptionnel

La maison est magnifique, et très fonctionnelle. Elle est idéalement placée par rapport à la ville de Locorotondo mais aussi pour des visites vers les pouilles du sud (Alberobello, ...). Maud est à l'écoute et très disponible.
