Bait-and-switch
Booked 9 months in advance for graduation weekend. 4 days before I emailed the host to see if I needed to bring anything and she said they had plumbing issues and place was not available. When was she going to tell me this? Luckily she had something else but it was smaller. I was stuck because there was nothing else available in Oswego. The original location was on a quiet street next to a park. The new location was off the Main Street and at night I could hear music and people from the bar across the street. The first night we came back and were locked out of the building. The front door of the apartment building was open during the day but when we came back at night we were locked out. The host responded quickly and gave us a code that didn’t work and finally another code that let us in. The bathroom was gross…toilet was rust stained, shower backed up with water and toilet seat falling off. Kitchen chairs were stained and cat scratched.and the carpets were not vacuumed, no curtain in the bedroom window and the tv remote enter button did not work. When I texted about the remote she said “ Hm our last tenant didn’t report that during their stay. I’ll ask them about it” when I texted about the front door code and it wasn’t working Johanna said “the buttons are small, so easy to press a different key”. Buyer beware.
