Interesting hotel concept
Interesting hotel concept. Checking in was a bit slow as the one person on duty was busy talking to multiple people at the same time rather than focusing on the customer in front of them. When we booked 6 months ago, we asked for a quiet room. They gave us a room on the side of the hotel beside a major construction site that started work at 7:00 a.m. every day with heavy machinery. The restaurant on the main floor has good food and good service. The 16th floor bar was nice as well and the view was fantastic. I was a little surprised that there is no parking at this hotel and valet service was $48.00 a day extra. Ouch. As of note for the rooms, you need to be an electrical engineer to figure out what wall switch works with what light. Have fun! There are no 3.75 stars, so I gave them a 4, but honestly it’s a no-frills basic hotel.

Uncomfortable but a friendly staff
Checkin was impacted by a Microsoft outage so each room took around ten minutes to checkin. Staff was very friendly and apologetic, though. There is construction directly next to the hotel which started around 6:30am each day and woke us up in spite of the free ear plugs left bedside. The bed was extremely uncomfortable so my husband and I both woke up with back and hip pain. The room was clean and we had the room turned over during the day without needing to ask.

Property location is great. Walkable to restaurants and cafes! Valet parking was a little annoying with going in and out. I got a rash from the sheets and my personal towel was taken from my room.

Great hotel in Ottawa
Wonderful room in close proximity to the sights of Ottawa. Very comfortable, modern and clean room. My only complaint would be noise from the surrounding area and the morning street sweeper! Better noiseproofing would make this hotel fabulous.
