We had no issues with the home itself. Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by the neighbors who share a wall with the property. On one occasion, they told us to “shut up” while we were simply talking outside, and another time they came out and tried to intimidate us with unfriendly looks and their angry behavior made us feel very uncomfortable.We were a group of 10, including 4 children ages 8–14. While it’s possible we could have been quieter coming and going, we were not excessively loud. It may be helpful for future guests if a noise monitor and/or outdoor cameras were in place to avoid any potential misunderstandings with neighbors.

Summer Weekend getaway

My friends/family and I grew up camping just north of Hollywood Beach at McGrath campground. Unfortunately, due to flooding, the park has been closed for 10 years. We have turned our summer camping trips into beach house rentals in Oxnard. We highly enjoyed our stay at Mollies by the Sea. As always, the neighborhood is safe, secure and full of friendly local residents. The house was incredible as well. Very easy check in/check out procedures and plenty of room for the small group we had. We always like bouncing around and trying new homes but we would rent this one again without a doubt!

Amazing location. Beautiful beach. Great for larger groups of friends or family members.

It’s always great when owners outfit a house to seat comfortably as many as they sleep. My friends and I like to gather once a year and when we do, we love nothing more than to hang out together and enjoy conversations. The living room is large and can easily seat 10 people comfortably. The dining room we can squeeze in. And that view and the sunsets are spectacular. We snuck out onto the beach after dark and saw bioluminescent plankton lighting up the waves. Truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was nice to have beach towels and chairs available. Highly recommended!

Amazing house - Gorgeous beach

We came from LA looking to get out of the craziness. We had no idea that Hollywood Beach existed before our Booking and we were blown away With the beauty and expansiveness of the beach . The house was perfect and had everything we needed. We definitely will want to return.

What a beautiful place!

The house was wonderful for our family. ages 3-75. Plenty of room for everyone! It is right on the beach, but the ocean is a good 5 minute sandy walk for the little ones. That didn't change our enjoyment at all -- we just needed a bit more planning. Kitchen had lots of pots and pans and dishes and glasses, but we could have used more than one kitchen towel to avoid using paper towels. There is also outdoor furniture and beach toys and umbrellas to make things comfortable for everyone. Your family will love it!

Paradise by the Sea

The property is just as it is shown in the photos. Great space, light and airy. The kitchen was just the right size, with a wonderful family space. Lots of games, and flat screen televisions in all the bedrooms and the family room. It has a spectacular view of the ocean, right on the beach, which was as close to a private beach as you could find. A short distance to the waves with lots of sand to build sand castles with the little ones and enjoy the peace and quiet just the waves. It was our family paradise by the sea.

Beautiful house!!!

The house is awesome and the location is even better. It was clean and well stocked with bikes, beach chairs etc
 lots of fun. There are spectacular views and all of the furnishings and decor are well selected. There is also a wooden deck on the sand with big umbrellas. I’m not sure the BBQ is mentioned in the listing, but there is a gas BBQ on a small deck off the side of the kitchen. The kitchen itself has all the dishes and cookware you could possibly need. This is a great place to spend time with family and friends. I would definitely stay there again.

Great beach house!

Beautifully furnished and clean! This home has everything you need including beach chairs and towels, umbrellas, bikes and games. It's very inviting, comfortable and has a great vibe. It's also right on the sand. We had 9 adults there for a family reunion. We played games, sat on the deck on the sand, walked the beach, never left the house, and just had a great time. We can't wait to go back! Thank you!

Amazing Getaway

This is our third stay at this home. We love the location, the size of the house and of course the view. It is an easy walk to farmers market, the harbor and restaurants. The house has bikes and scooters to use. They also have plenty of outdoor furniture to relax on and enjoy the ocean view. We have a blast every summer and we can't wait to come back again next year.

Amazing getaway

We had an amazing time. The house was breathtaking. We basically had our own private beach. The check in was easy and super convenient. There were a lot of pots and pans, beach toys and beach chairs. Best of all, there were 7 bikes, not in the best condition but plenty good for our group to bike around the area. It was a very relaxing vacation, walking or running along the beach in the morning, body surfing the waves during the day (It was a bit chilly but fine with wetsuits) then watching sunset from the balcony. We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation. The kids are already asking to come back this summer. We can’t wait. Thank you so much!!
