Good location and assessable to Universal Studios, Chinese Theatre and Citadel Outlet areas. Hotel is a mini-museum with lots of pictures and signatures of actors/performers on the walls. There is a great diner place within the hotel and the food is fantastic. Overall, a good experience.

Great priced hotel, good value for money, room clean, asked for servicing but never happened. I used laundry facilities which were reasonable. Close to Universal Studios. Surrounding area has many homeless people and rubbish on streets but we had no troubles walking to and from Walk of Fame day and night (10-15mins). Would recommend for those on a budget, it definitely met our needs (family of five - we got 2 x 2 Queen Bed rooms)

We were initially given a room that must have been next door to a bar because it was LOUD. They were able put us in a new room which was quieter. Unfortunately, the towels seemed dirty. The shower had very little pressure and we had to stand with our back against the wall to have the water hit us. The bed mattress was warped with my husband and I sliding to the middle of the bed. The pillows were very lumpy, like a bag of cotton balls. We ended up checking out after one night.

Room was clean and updated. Old school heat/AC unit. Famous restaurant (diner) on the first floor was closed, which was frustrating over the new years holiday. Takes long time for shower to heat up (where they are trying to save water in California!), and there was absolutely no flow from the shower head. Folks running the place were nice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This hotel nailed it. Trendy vibes? ✔️ Spotlessly clean? ✔️ Big, roomy rooms? ✔️ From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt cool, modern, and welcoming. Everything was impeccably clean (always a win), and the rooms were surprisingly spacious — plenty of room to relax, unpack, and actually breathe. Stylish without being stuffy, comfortable without being boring. If you love a hotel that feels fresh, fun, and effortlessly cool, this is it. Would absolutely stay here again — no question.

Breakfast is not free, but the Clark Street Diner is great! The hotel is fine, quirky rooms. I woke up a bit startled that a young Marlon Brando was staring at me. The room was clean and spacious, but the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower were completely empty. Otherwise, just what we needed for an overnight in the area.

Towels had a weird old smell on two consecutive days, they really need to buy a new pack. Also there was a sign to clean the room but no one did. On asking at the front desk they mentioned that we need to inform at the front desk that the room needs to be cleaned. Guests need to be informed correctly on such things and please remove the sign if not applicable!

Clark Street Diner (inside hotel) was excellent, hotel bar was popular and had a great staff. Location is awesome for Hollywood Blvd bar scene and convenient to Hwy 101 for driving around LA. Front desk staff tried to pressure us into valet parking ($40/night) and rooms are cleaned only by request, but otherwise an excellent choice.
