A highlight of the apartment is certainly the open-plan, light-filled living and dining space — complete with gorgeous high ceilings and traditional cornicing details. Elegant, Parisian doors offer views of the surrounding Haussmannian architecture. In this room you can unwind on the comfortable sapphire blue sofa in front of the TV, or enjoy a relaxing dining with friends and family in the dining area, surrounded by eye-catching bookshelves. A desk and chair here also provides a handy work zone, should you need.

KITCHEN
A quintessential Parisian kitchen — small but perfectly formed, it offers all the essentials you will need during your stay, complete with sea green tiling.

PRINCIPLE BEDROOM
With doors opening onto a Juliet balcony, beautiful cornicing details, and a marbled fireplace, this calming bedroom offers a double bed for a restful night’s sleep.

SECOND BEDROOM
Wooden floors, plenty of light, a feature fireplace and accents of royal blue offer a classic-contemporary bedroom, complete with a comfy King-sized bed.

Close to the Bastille and Rue de Charonne

Enjoyed our 5 days on Ledru Rolin. Images online match the flat. Well lit and spacious. Modern appliances in kitchen and recently upgraded tub and washroom. One block off Rue de Charonne with its lively night-life and small designer stores. Easy walking distance to two Metro stations. A few negatives. Ave Ledru Rolin itself is a bit run down and needs a facelift. A few resident homeless on the avenue and unkept dirty sidewalks. The flat has a central water heater, which works well, and heat is controlled regionally with radiators. Unfortunately, most of the radiators lacked a control knob, which made it impossible to reduce the heat output in individual rooms. We had a week of warm weather and found the flat too warm. The beds were comfortable, as were the quality of the linens. On the other hand, the furniture was of poor quality, especially the dining room chairs and most of the small tables and lamps. Despite these negatives, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the flat.
