Room was dirty, carpet and walls stained. Broken toilet seat. Building opposite was having major building works so from 630am the noise and banging was horrendous. Heating was up so high in room that we had to have the window open so very early wake up with the noise! Hotel could have warned us about this prior to stay.

clean and great location. No Lift!

Best think about the hotel is location. Pretty much at Place Clichy so bars, restaurants, metro station. All good. For 1 night, perfect. However, no lift and if you are in 4th floor, and after a long day, not idea. Toilet/ shower combo was a bit cramped. Good one night stander:-)

The property is not what is in the pictures at all! I booked a room expecting the pictures and got a room with stains all over the carpet and a bed with no head board and only a sheet no comforter. I was glad I only stayed there for one night

This is not a hotel... it's a little house with bedrooms where you can hear everyone talking, going up and down the stairs, and next room's TV! It was way too hot with no AC but a tiny fan that did nothing. The washroom is more than basic, it's tiny, dated, and there were silver fish. We had booked for 2 nights but checked out after the first as we couldn't sleep from the heat and from the TV sound from the room next door to us. The 'receptionist' asked us if everything was ok and we said we hadn't slept cause of the noise... he said nothing back... He didn't even have the decency to apologise. Not worth it at all. The pictures are incredibly deceiving. DON'T STAY HERE.

The property was in a great location very close to the metro, walking distance to many great sites. Downside was the hotel itself, nothing fancy which is fine but when I mentioned the shower door being broken it didnt seem like a surprise and nothing was done about it. No attempt to fix it, they didnt even mention possibly moving us to a different room, not even a free breakfast. This was disappointing and not great customer service.

We stayed at Hotel Hector for 2 nights with my family, 2 adults and a 14 year old child. Restaurants and metro were nearby. Staff that checked us in was nice. The photos of exterior building and bedrooms on the website looked nice. But, the room we stayed was nothing like the photos. It was in poor condition, carpet was old and dirty, the bathroom was outdated and tiny. Nothing like the pictures the hotel presented in their website. Very disappointed with our stay. We were a family of 3 people and we can barely move around in the room. And they knew we are a family 2 adults and a 14 year old daughter. A helpful tip if you book and will book this hotel. When you get there, do request to see the room and bathroom first before you commit to the room. And make sure you get the room they present on the website. Apparently, the room we stayed at Hotel Hector was not featured in their website. Or, I would have thought twice booking this hotel. Again, I was not happy at all...

Pathetic Attitude to Un-Welome you

The Receptionist had an attitude that the customer is at fault for all shortcomings. When asked for second room key (two guest paying) he blames the "other guests" for losing the keys, and when asked for a fan in the room he "explained" to us (at 40 degrees Celsius) that the "other guests" steal them. Having a tinny room at the 4th floor without elevator (works well as a sauna) gave us enough time to think of our collective fault as a paying non-returning customers.

Just got back after a long weekend stay in this hotel. Its not really a hotel , more like a guest house with rooms converted into bedrooms in a tenement. Pictures on website are not particularly accurate. Bedrooms are an adequate small size for a weekend stay, fixtures and furnishings falling apart, no air con and on opening the window part of the window seal came off in my hand. Bathroom is tiny and rather tired looking and a little dirty, definitely needs mold removing from shower tray and tiles. Our bedroom on the 4th floor overlooked the court yard( this is closed to guests late evening) but is open to either hotel owner/ staff and their guests. The noise from them until nearly 2 am in the morning one evening was not appreciated and very inconsiderate. We only saw housekeeper/ cleaner when we were getting ready to check out..perhaps they struggled with the steep 4 flights of stairs too. Having said all these the hotel is in a good location, 5 minute walk to Moulin Rouge and very good for metro and bus stops, both within a couple of minutes walk. Also it is cheaper than a lot of other hotels in the vicinity ...but it is a case of you get what you pay for. I wouldn't stay here again but it was adequate as a base for the weekend. If you do decide to book here i would ask for a lower floor room and dont bother with the breakfast its very basic and there are plenty of nearby cafes with far better breakfasts.
