We loved our stay at Hotel Ballu. We stayed for a weekend in January in a Deluxe Double; the hotel is easily walkable (~25 mins) from Gare du Nord with similar distances to the 'top' of Montmarte and Opera. We barely used the metro at all. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and the staff had helped me arrange balloons in the room, a handwritten note and complimentary sweets on arrival. The fluffy robes and slippers were great and we enjoyed the private use of the pool/sauna area. Comfy bed, nice products in the bathroom and would definitely recommend.

Really beautiful hotel. Our room was super clean and the decor was amazing. All of the public areas of the hotel too - clean and stunning. We used the spa every day of our stay - definitely worth booking your hour in each day it was lovely to go in there after a long day of walking. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was beautiful and the room had everything you could need. Reception was really helpful and great service throughout. We also ate lunch at the restaurant on our last day and that again was great the setting is lovely and food & service was 10/10. Location wise we found it to be perfect. Walking distance to Montemarte, a really short walk to Pace de Clichy metro & felt safe with plenty to do the whole time we were there. Would definitely recommend and will for sure stay again!

Great location - quiet street, but convenient and walkable to Montmartre attractions and to train and metro stations. Nicely furnished rooms, nice restaurant and bar. Would stay here again!

As a solo traveller this property had an excellent location for most of the Paris areas that I wanted to be in - Opera, Louvre, Montmartre and while it is really close to Moulin Rouge it’s not a trashy area. Lots of food choices nearby as well, plenty of cafes and restaurants for all budgets. Hotel bar is nice, cocktails are delicious (need to ask bar staff what’s in them as menu is light on detail.) The hotel staff, in particular the reception staff (especially Estelle) are really friendly and helpful. The pool and sauna are a delight to use, and the pool is high enough for laps. You get fluffy robes and slippers along with a bottle of filtered water everyday in the room, it’s the little things that make a difference!
